Love the sound of it and its diversity
Super great plug-in. I love the character and how easy it is to get ideas going with it. It’s doesn’t quite stand alone and isn’t an all-encompassing cinematic library, but it works amazing when used with other great plugins, and it certainly does what it sets out to do, which is add really interesting folk flavor to my scores.
Just as a chef relies on the finest ingredients to craft a memorable dish, a composer needs exceptional sounds to create a compelling soundtrack. Substitute "soundtracks" for "meals," and you'll find that Spitfire Audio provides not only the essential ingredients—but elevates the entire creative process. It's artistry at its most refined.
Incredible library, very well performance optimized. Sounds and sample manipulation is the best I’ve experienced.
Very inspiring sounds !!
Fantastic selection of instruments that enhance the creative process
Great library, full instruments and articulations
a collection of unconventional and highly inspiring instruments.
Love it all. I love the attention to detail on all the various expressions and articulations. It’s the perfect library for being able to score in the style I want to.
While I do not have a huge experience to draw from I can say that the fidelity of these samples and the Konkat 8 to run this through Ableton Live as a VST is very good. Truly a great base for cinematic sound production and other high quality sound scapes
It's perfect for writing horror pieces which comprises most of what I write. Really love it. Have yet to run into any technical issues.
This is a great orchestra with plenty of great usable sounds and without any overlap with any others. Plenty of inspiration for almost any style, flexible (from minimalist folk horror to epic synth trailers), I’m fairly sure I’ll be using this library for a long time.
Use these string sounds all day every day. The only thing that would make it better would be the ability to separate the individual instrument patches in the orchestral sections.
I really like the character of the atmospheric sound of this bank. I'm still holding the keys of my piano while playing and I'm waiting with a smile to see what's going to happen.
After downloading Albion Solstice, I went into the World of the Sound of the Instruments and individual Sections. So I was very pleasantly surprised by the incredible Depth I felt in the first playing of the Instruments and Sounds !.I was particularly touched by the Female and mixed Choir voices !. They have brought back many memories of earlier times from my Family !. A noble library that Spitfire Audio created here, Great !
Fantastic library full of inspirational instruments!
This is my first Spitfire library. I picked up Solstice during a 50% off flash sale. There are lots of sounds to play with and it has real character. One downfall is the strings have a baked in room noise/hiss that is super annoying with the longer sounds. I could hear it in some of the demo videos before purchasing, but now that I have the library I can't stop focussing on it, hopefully mixed with other instruments in a compostion it won't be noticed. I think the noise has to do with the small string orchestra size (6-8 players), maybe this is normal for these type of libraries? My biggest gripe and reason for the low rating is the Kontakt Player you have to use with this library. Kontakt looks like it was made in the 80s, the graphics and text in Albion are super pixilated and it bothers my eyes. It's strange that some Kontakt instruments can look sharp, like Hypha, and others so crappy. It's not just the look, I also find Kontakt hard to work with in general, it's a terrible user interface. Despite 3 stars, I like Solstice, it's unique and would still recommend. They should rebuild this in the Spitfire player!
Great sounding package! Offers so much!
The amount of controls and options can be great to really craft the sound you want, but can sometimes be overwhelming, distracting, and confusing. Would love to see this in the Spitfire dedicated plugin. Overall, I am more pleased with the sounds that I initially expected. The motor techniques are my favorite and have not seen these in other libraries I currently own.
