Good sound quality, mic selection flexibility, including solo instrument, very good legato patches

What an amazing library! So much content and with some tweaking sounds almost as good as the real thing! Really enjoying making music with this, It also fits nicely with solo strings and Appassionata

It's indeed a great product. Very expensive from a third world costumer perspective but still cheap for a EU or US costumer. (Cheap considering what you get). Totally worth it

Well produced samples in a number of dynamic variations. Download took a while. Almost 24 hrs. Could be my lame server. Anyway I could have chosen the offered SSD drive. I produce electronic music since almost 45 years also in cooperation with Klaus Schulze and Manuel Göttsching who unfortunately left planet in 2022. Started to add classic instrument sounds among my new Synth tracks. Harald Grosskopf / Germany

The BBCSO Pro is generally very good. There are a few things that make it from being a 5/5 though. I was going to include the price in that denomination of a point but despite other quality flaws, the amount of customization with this library easily justifies the price in my opinion. There are so many ways you can make this library sound unique and very, very cool. However, some of the sounds (especially the strings) have a tendency to sound pretty goofy and dull until tuning them finely with the many microphone and effects options. After which point, they sound very good. Disappointingly (and sometimes frustratingly) the different techniques that can be applied do not inherently share dynamics from one technique to another. This can become cumbersome when more time is then required to blend everything together. BUT, there are way more techniques available per instrument than I was anticipating and most of them sound very good, which is awesome. Again - overall, a high quality product!!

Awesome sound quality. Very musical. My only gripe is that I was told this instrument was multitimbral, but it seems it’s not. Aside from that, excellent.

BBC SO Pro is fascinating because of the huge number of instruments (it contains rare instruments like bass flute (!!), contrabass clarinet (!!), contrabassoon (!!), cimbasso (!!), bass and contrabass trombone (!!) et alt) and the vast amount of playing techniques it delivers. Also, the integration in Dorico is seamless. Having bought this library during a Black Friday's sale, this package is to my knowledge unbeaten! Having worked with it for around 5 weeks now, I could experience its sound and also compare it to other libs, and I can say: PRO: - The general dynamic balance of the instruments is pretty well already. Other libraries (even big names!) need more adjustments in all sections (I mean to have observed that flutes are generally too soft). - The strings even come with a (solo) leader! All five sections of them. This is great for creating intimate string quartet sections. And the strings cover many playing techniques other libs simply don't have, like flautando, Bartok pizz, harmonics (short and long). This is very usful for contemporary scores. - The Cor Anglais is magic! Everybody should have it! CON: - To me the rolls of esp. the tambourine, but also the snares, cymbals etc are not tight / round / snappy enough, they are too slow. This is strange, because the short ruffs are way more brilliant and beautiful, so I wonder, why this was not done the same way; or at least offered in 2 variants. Since Spitfire Audio claims on their website that "this is only the beginning", I truly hope to see an E-flat clarinet added to the collection one day, maybe even some saxophones and the aforementioned improved rolls of the untuned percussion instruments (the tambourine in particular). And other stuff I cannot think of at the moment. Final thought: An absolut must for composers who work with audio libraries. Without doubt my best investment so far! Thank you, Spitfire Audio! (Listen to their sound examples, they are not only sounding very good, they are indeed great compositions!)

The download process is so easy. I love the product hosting page. Updates are easy to see. Click. Done. All my libraries together. I'm ready to play with BBCSO and I'm loving the sound. I also love Spitfire's new dedicated player. Gorgeous to look at and easy to use. Not a Kontakt fan.

It's wonderful, just amazing. I have an entire Symphony Orquestra in my tiny room, ready to create amazing songs to ambience whatever I want. The detail it's exquisite and I can play with all the instruments and tons of articulations in many ways to increase the creativity., The ideas come up with no effort added. I just love it.

Excellent samples. Disappointed that different articulations are at different volumes in the same instrument. Makes balancing and mixing difficult.

It's really amazing. Realistic, Intuitive, Efficient. There is one thing I would appreciate if fixed. When I load them, despite of my high spec Mac Studio, there is delay. If there is a way to fix it in more efficient way, please reflect this!

it's a very good instrument

Awesome sample quality, in-depth articulations and great programming to control expression!

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A must-have library for a classy, traditional symphony orchestra sound.

A lavish set of samples. Just be aware that it needs a far heftier amount of disk space than Discover and Core.
