The recorded quality of the samples making up the library enable the detail of the ensemble and solo elements to really shine through. After watching Eric's walk through video (in which he's pretty regularly chuckling, expressing some amazement, and which has him almost tearing up), it was really rewarding to hear and play Contrast in person ...confirming that Eric's reactions were indeed genuine. This has capital B beautiful choir and choral-adjacent sounds in it. The ONLY reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the specialty nature of the library. Quite a few of the sounds in the library are 'unique' ...at least in terms of any music I could attempt ...and so, while superbly presented within the library, are of limited use ...TO ME. (It seems a bit unfair to give it a lower score because of my own musical limitations ...but trying to review honestly.) As it will integrate seamlessly with 'Eric Whitacre Choir' (and many other libraries), it was more than worthwhile to add it to the sound palette ...(there's such good stuff in the library) ...even recognizing that I may not use every sound the library contains. The 'Synth' sounds included in the library are not to be overlooked ...evocative, presence, synthy sometimes ...cool!

Sounds absolutely beautiful!
Very impressive. The best sophistical choir
It’s awesome! The sound quality is great, the voices are incredible. The synthesizer and the gui are user friendly. I am very happy with this product!
I'm a musician and composer. I discovered, by chance, the Spitfire audio company. My first experience was using the free BBC Symphony Orchestra. This tool was my gateway to this company. What a revelation! Since that first experience, I've always been highly impressed by this company and its products. A company that succeeds perfectly in producing musical and sound libraries offering a perfect balance between the acoustic and electronic worlds. Remarkable sound recording, high quality, professional, very realistic and diversified. From traditional musical composition to the experimental. Anything is possible with Spitfire. We're a long way from the early days of midi sound, of course. It remains to be seen where all this will lead in the future. Right now, it's already very convincing, so I can't imagine what the next innovations will be.
AMAZING LIBRARY! WELL DONE!
Not as useful as anticipated.
Niche, to be sure. But stunning sounds, and compliments the main EWC library magnificently, opening gorgeous new colours on the palette.
Sounds amazing, just tried it, Spitfire Audio make incredibly inspiring virtual instruments!
Perfect and inspiring
amazing sound and creative patches. To bad there's no layers for loudness so pp realy sounds like a forte with less volume.. not ideal to mix. At least that could be eased with some little filtering but I have little hope SA will add this to the interface as support is really weak.
Some really nice sounds. Not everything is obviously usable, but the stuff that is is great
Great, as usual !!!!!!!
I am having a great time diving into this library. It's not only the great experimental choir that makes this library unique but also the beautifully crafted synth presets. No matter whether you are loving horror, drama, ambient scores or contemporary music, this library is definitely worth checking out.
Contrast compliments my compositions perfectly! The first Eric Whitacre choral library was on my wish list for some time, however the size and scope of the library didn’t quite fit my needs. When Contrast was released I jumped at the opportunity. This library fills my needs precisely, as accompaniment and for composition, and layering with sound design. The tone and technique of the vocals are beyond comparison and the Spirfire player continues to improve with each new release.
