I wished for long to have this library as part of my production arsenal. Finally I was able to get it and I was not disappointed. The sound quality is absolutely brilliant and I can say since I have this library I cannot do without. There is only one thing that left me wishing for more, which is: more velocity layers would help (same goes for other professional sound libraries from other brands), for my years the change in certain dynamics is too evident. Hard to play with electeonic drum pads if you expect a full and smooth dynamic expression. So I ended up programming all the percussion parts (rather then performing them on the pads) and spent considerable time fine tuning the velocity of every single note. I understand more layers means more sounds to be recorded and effort for the sound engineer and musicians but for my use this feature is critical. I hope to see especially this library further fine tuned in that sense for the future (hopefully as a free upgrade or for a low price). All in all, I want to stress again that for my ears the majority of libraries also from other brands have this limit, so for the time being this library deserves 5 stars (4 stars would be too little). Overall I truly love it.

HZ Percussion has excellent choices, and the way it was set up on Kontakt allows features such as assigning more than one instrument to the same key, which comes very handy for some applications.
Upgrading to the Pro version is worth the investment; especially when needing those extra percussive nuances you want immediately available in your scoring template. Although it took me over a year and a half to make the upgrade, having the extra mic mixes makes the world of a difference. They add greater dimension and sonic subtleties to my percussion writing. I recommend HZ Perc Pro to any serious composer or producer wanting multiple options when writing percussion parts.
Love the epic sound and ease of use
This is my go to percussion library. It fits everything.
For me this is definitely the best percussion library!
Good sounds but slow to load and room sound very wet and no way to turn down much. Also, some of the lower frequency drums sound distorted with nothing clipping on the meters.
What else can you say? It's Hans Zimmer's percussion, bar none. Sound is excellent, the articulations are solid. Enjoy using these a lot.
This is a jaw dropping library that has a MASSIVE sound. No joke, open up any instance and you will feel the POWER. SO good!
Currently still exploring more of HZPP but by far I'm satisfied with what it is offered.
Although a bit on the pricey side for what it is, I like how the interface is clearly laid out, and that everything is included from the previous HZ Percussion Volumes. There seems to be the notion among customers that somehow the sound has changed on this one in comparison with the previous volumes, and if that is the case, I believe this is something that should be noted on the product page. Other than that, I am pretty happy with my purchase.
Making your own percussion kit easy. Not to mention the sounds are awesome. I only wish there was some tuned percussion as well. Marimba or vibes would be nice.
I was reluctant to purchase this library as I own many other percussion Libraries. Now that I have , I regret not having purchased it sooner. Sounds amazing and very straight forward to use. Will be my go to percussion library for a long time to come I imagine.
My first cinematic percussion library and it has served me quite well.
Top rate percussion sounds from Spitfire Audio and Mr Zimmer, again they prove why they are the top of the game in sampling! Incredibly happy with this product.
Awesome library . Super cool flexibility with diffident mic positions and different mixes.
