Quality product with an easy and attractive interface. I love the focus on gentle, delicate sounds. Could have done with a few more instruments.

The dynamics are amazing, from an airy, barely audible sound to an angry, violent sound, I have never experienced anything like this in sound libraries. My favorite is the bass clarinet. Tubax and strings can also be used. The 70% discount was very good, I can afford this price. I am satisfied with the product.
Heirloom is very beautiful librairie containing realistic and tasteful instruments.
Though this library has grown on me courtesy of the upright piano patch, the library as a whole isn't as useful as some other selections in the SA repertoire. The piano is bright, full of character, and playful, the guitars don't sound like a far cry from the free LABS peel guitar.
Great sounds. Still discovering all the potential

Honestly rather disappointing as I realised I had very similar instruments in other libraries. The sounds themselves are of course fantastic quality, I simply realised I didn't entirely need them.
The library really brings all the emotion that some other don't capture as well. This is a really niche library and won't necessarily be for everyone. I was needing a really up-close and emotional ensemble and this library delivers it well. Big fan of all spitfire audio products, I wish that they would release more of those more niche and weird library to make musicians take a new look on composing.
This library has sounds you won't find anywhere else. The contrabass clarinet and the tubax are amazing! It has a lot of articulations, great legatos, nice piano and some other very usable surprises! Great for writing more soft intimate pieces.
Tubax is great. I’ve used it in two commercials already.
One of my favorite library
The woodwind, the strings, the delicate piano, and my favourite: the acoustic guitar harmonics. Perfect for anyone that doesn't have a classical guitar and loves the sound of those. I don't even have to talk about it, there are videos on youtube using the plugin and it is amazing
I compose mostly for documentaries and indie films and I focus on using real instruments. When I use sample libraries I want them to be emmediate, organic, "non perfect" and blend with the recorded instruments (I don't want to feel like a programmer). I think Heirloom ticks these boxes. The piano and clarinet sounds great (also the tubax but I'm not sure how often there will be place for it for in my work). I will use the strings as well but probably in a pretty minimalistic way blended with other instruments as I personally find strings really hard to get to sound super realistic. With that said I think these strings have a really nice organic sound. I wish that there was a pizzicato patch though! For me, often working with pretty scaled off, organic and minimalistic soundscapes this library will definitely be an asset.
Espectacular sound. It is what you expected from Spitfire!!! A must-have!!!
The piano, strings, and guitar in this library work very well together and are very inspiring to write with.
A lovely sounding library that frustrates and inspires in equal measure. I'd say this library is best for a media composer who already has a solid set of samples and is just looking for additional textures. For context, I own around 40 spitfire libraries, including all of the major string libraries, and several of the Albions, and of course many others from other manufacturers. The strings have a wonderful sound and will certainly be a useful texture. They sound emotive and the mix sounds very professional straight out of the tin. But it's absolutely confounding they didn't record pizzicatos for such an intimate sound. True staccatos (shorter than brushed) would have been very useful too. As such, I see myself using these strings in conjunction with another library. It's a shame really, these have a great contemporary sound, but there's just not enough there. The piano isn't bad, just not to my taste. I feel like the softest dynamic layer is more of a mezzo-piano. The sound does have a nice clarity, though, and could cut through a warmer mix. The guitar patches are great and have a distinctive sound. It's a wonderful texture I'm glad to add to my arsenal. I expect we will start to hear the "harmonics" patch all over the place. I really like the "listener" mic position that make it sound as if you're overhearing from another room. A great and useful mic layer to choose from for all the samples, but especially these guitars. The most useful patches in the library are the clarinet and tubax, two wonderfully intimate performances that truly stand-out from the rest of my libraries. I own symphonic woodwinds pro, and studio woodwinds pro, and these are great additions, definitely giving a more contemporary "indie" sound. Jon Brion eat your heart out. That being said.... there's only 3 articulations. How about a trill, or a crescendo? How about some key tapping? I want more, a lot more. Overall, I'm happy to have this library, the sounds are definitely inspiring, but also frustratingly limited its slight articulations. It's so close to greatness.
It has inspired me a lot and has already been used in several songs!
Sounds great Beautiful palette of sounds. Do make licenses transferable though. This is an unfair policy on customers which leaves a sour taste every time one decides to bite the bullet on a Spitfire library.
Amazing sound, great quality and good UI. I like how original this can sound, it has own sonic character.
Outstanding quality, versatility, ergonomic status ... it is perfect !
