Product details

Brand: Spitfire Audio

Mercury samples fourteen one-of-a-kind acoustic sculptures, hand-crafted by Hollywood’s premier instrument designer, Chas Smith. These creations painted the unearthly soundscapes of Dune and Interstellar, sang heroic anthems for Man of Steel and The Hunger Games, and textured terrors throughout the Saw film franchise. All told, this collection delivers 600+ textures, tones, and pads—organic and synthesised in Solar, our new eDNA-powered plug-in.

Gorgeous bowed metal instruments allow me to create original textures and soundscapes. Very inviting to be creative.

Very special, niche sounds that make an excellent addition for moody, cinematic music.

It is a bit early to say much but so far I have found Mercury to be pretty awesome for atmospheric cinematic effects. The plug-in is well laid out and I have not had to refer to the manual at all. I am looking forward to working more with the presets and setting up my own.

As always with Spitfire Audio, outstanding sound quality with a unique, user-friendly, and tweakable interface. I've only just started scratching the surface of all the sounds and possibilities of this library, but I'm thoroughly digging it so far. I would say the sounds are perhaps a bit niche, but there's certainly inspiration to be found within.

Unbelievable sounds! I'm blown away by this virtual instrument. It's a game changer.

This is a very special library, probably my favourite Spitfire library. Some might find it a bit too niche and unconventional and that's a good thing. For those wanting to stray from the traditional/orchestral composition and build scores with a fresh modern sound, this library is perfect. Especially for dark, dystopian styles, or even horror. I love it because it creates emotion through immersive soundscapes. This is the Dark Souls of sample libraries.

I'm honestly not impressed at all with this plugin, not even slightly. I tried out several dozen presets and they're all so quiet, dull, uneventful and characterless that I couldn't possibly imagine ever using it in any of my productions. Mercury is one of the very, very few plugins that I actually regret purchasing.

My favorite sound along with others is the que lastas, I've heard it when I listened to one of Charlie's music of the saw franchise.

Straight out of the box I played about 4 hours with Mercury. To me a very, very inspiring library!

I'm making two songs. These sauces are good for layering. Rather than using it as the main inst I'm satisfied. I think it'll be used a lot in the future It was worth.
