I can`t download Olafur Arnalds Stratus with Native Instruments Access! How do I set up Kontakt 3rd party library? Any other solutions?

Extremely disappointed. I thought I could use the MIDI data outside of Kontakt to take advantage of the arpeggiator with other plugins, just like Ólafur himself does in a video, but it's actually impossible. €200 for a plugin I’m barely going to use... No demo available... Lesson learned.

Extraordinarily difficult to install and set up but the UI and sound is good. The quality of Olafur's sounds are the redeeming grace for this product. Otherwise I could not recommend messing with Spitfire's platform and convoluted installation procedures (if you could call it that). Create an installer that actually works and create in house detailed videos on how to install on the various DAW / NI platforms. I won't be messing with Spitfire again other than the basic instrument VST's. Definitely not worth the price given the headache and other competing products on the market.
I am a full-time (for more than 20 years) composer and sound designer. From Super Bowl ads to films, documentaries, art installations etc Spitfire Audio has been one of my top choices. Their products are amazing. I can’t begin to count the times they have inspired an entire piece or simply added the perfect final touch. Every product is well designed and unique. I plan to eventually have their entire catalog.
This product is rated 3 stars so far because I had a problem learning how to use it. I love the demonstration sounds, however.
It's just what I was looking for! I usually work with orchestral libraries to create that full orchestra sound, but recently I wanted to expand my horizons with processed sounds that give this aetherial feeling. I couldn't be more satisfied!

it's ok - the variations of Native Instruments NOIRE and PIANO COLOURS seems more detailed but its completes my Arnalds Collection
Just a amazing.
It's cool and unique, and definitely delivers on the whole "icelandic sound in your studio" concept. However, there is not as much control for the sculpting of the sound as I would have liked. For instance, I have yet to find a preset that has 0 reverb/delay. Though I get that it helps to create soundscapes, I hoped I could cut the reverb off completely. This would work fantastic in a drop (i make a lot of club music) and would open the door for a whole new sub genre of deep house I think. Instead, the best i can do is use it in the background, or in tandem with dryer lead sounds. It would be amazing if you could cut all the wetness out and be left with amazing sequences coming from Olafur's great piano and synths. Imagine what kind of deep house you could make! Other than this, it's really good. I think it will shine in music for media context too, but I haven't applied it there yet. The price is.. steep. You really have to know what you want to achieve with this instrument. It can be worth it, but it's definitely a niche thing.
I waited until I couldn't wait any more. This instrument, this library, this sound, brought warm love to my music.
Innovative software; wonderfully unique and beautifully sounding.
I wanted this product for a while, and do not doubt the work that went into making it. After a troubling and arduous install through Native Instruments Access, I began wishing it was designed like the SA series, or inside a Spitfire Audio dashboard. It does take up a lot of space and time to load - I just haven't maximized what it can do. I'm sure I will eventually fall in love with it like all the Spitfire products I have. Their name is a brand to be trusted, and yes it has beautiful sounds.
Self indulgent but a worthwhile purchase! In a rather self indulgent move I purchased Stratus after hearing the wonderful tone of the piano used. I considered buying this alone but remembered I was not quite the pianist I would have liked to have been! Stratus could create intricate patterns which are fabulous. I make retro pop stuff mostly at home, I am not a professional but used the product in the background of two songs thus far, it gave the atmosphere I was looking for and although is not heard in prominence is always hanging in the background. It worked well and sounds good and was not overly expensive. You can find me on Bandcamp under my name as Tracks 1 & 2 feature Stratus. There is so much more to explore and I am sure I will base a few tracks on the patterns in the future. I have not really used the synth as yet, but am very impressed with the piano.
This is W I L D !!! There is nothing like that out there. Amazing sounding and perfect balance of control/incontrol music chaos.
A bit 'meh' in my opinion. I misunderstood the discount email and thought I was getting a launch discount on a new library but it's actually been around a year or so. Despite dozens of videos in which Spitfire staff gush about how incredibly 'inspirational' it is it's basically a load of slightly different delay patterns on extremely mellow - some might say excessively so - panned pianos (and synths) so when you play a note or chord you get dancing echos, octaves etc across the stereo field. It's all very tasteful and ruminative. It's great if you want to sound like Olafur Arnalds but that's it. It was actually the excellent demos that sold it to me, I dare say I need to experiment further with it, particularly at faster tempos.There's a rather good bass preset ('Sub-Bass') in there somewhere but that doesn't really justify the price.
The sounds and concept is excellent. The library is very expensive, even on the promotion I purchased it on. I would love to purchase more libraries from Spitfire Audio so I hope they run more promotions in the future/implement a rewards program.
Inspirational....adds movement and quirkiness to any piece of music.
