Bonkers, just plain bonkers beautiful
I have been using the free Spitfire plugins for quite some time and find them truly unique, inspiring and evocative. However, being an amateur musician making music for my own pleasure, I couldn't justify the price tag of their professional plugins. But when I came across Stratus I knew I had to have it. It is so unique and evocative and I could immediately see (hear?) in my mind how it would enhance my production workflow. I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint. I've written pieces that I couldn't have on my own - it's like having a creative partner coming up with fresh ideas on demand. To close, kudos to Spitfire for their business model: using the proceeds from premium paid products to subsidise free quality ones helps buddying musicians to kickstart their careers. Once they make the jump to professional they can afford paying for the premium stuff, helping subsidise a new generation of buddying musicians and starting the cycle again. Everybody wins!
It was what we expect! Great tool with a beatiful sound!
What I like about this library is that I'm not a piano player and it helps me get past that deficiency. I can play one note and something is always happening or evolving. I'm slow with playing chord changes and this software helps but sustaining the chord long enough for me to move to the next chord. It has actually helped me become a little better at the piano. I'm still finding new shapes in the grid to tailor the sounds.
What an awesome piece of software
Beautiful,innovative,useful for professionals on deadlines.Gorgeous.
This one of my favourite spitfire libraries I like how easy the interface can be used to make these patterns your very own Very inspiring to use as a basis for orchestration
I'd previously made my own version of Oliver Arnalds' piano, using some scripting within Logic which randomly triggered a combination of the 'Felt Piano' alongside Pendle Poucher's 'Ship's Piano'. However ... I'm sad to admit that Stratus sounds loads better and is much more controllable. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because it's difficult not to sound like Oliver Arnalds when played, so I use it sparingly within my compositions.
very inspiring sounds, as always !
Really useful and entertaining sample library with a ton of mouldable sounds and effects
I like the sound but as a whole it feels a bit limited. I hoped the regular piano included would sound more open. But maybe a taste issue. When used it gives my songs an amazing extra texture but it’s recognizable and there for has to be dosed. For sound and options it’s the highend Spitfire quality that is always good to have in your library arsenal.
Super unique plugin, instant inspiration!
Beautiful and inspiring. I love it! ❤️
That’s good for complement with ablion.
Great sounds, easy to use interface. Wish I could afford the whole suite of Olafur Arnalds stuff :-)
Disappointing product mostly because it’s signature is useless for creating anything that is not recognizable as coming from Stratus.. it just falls short in possibilities and options to alter its signature. It could have been inspiring if the developers would have allow themself more time to develope software that is worth purchasing for the price tag it is sold for. This product with its price tag should give customers the option of a trial before purchase, it would be just fair as it should when selling products online. Spitfire Audio does not allow to return their product after disappointment. Waste of money.
Great, but not everything.
Excellent product
Great program, great bang for the buck. I've been using it sometimes as a basis for a track, and sometimes to find an ear candy element when the track is almost done.
