As the name suggests, perfect for composing epic music.
I think spitfire overdelivers here, considering that i bought plugins of other manufacturers for more money which landed almost immediately in the drawer.. The Epic Strings do exactly what you expect - they are epic. Very intuitive interface, nothing to read in to, just load, select articulation, follow your creativity. Included are Shorts, Pizzicatos, Longs, Octaves and some variations of them. To be honest, thats way more most of us will ever need when just underlaying some backings to a track. Great Job Spitfire!
I love the sounds; these strings have added greatly to my library.
amazing quality, from the samples to the articulations. By giving you 3 mic positions, you have enough to experiment but not too many to get overwhelmed and confused. The sound quality is amazing! Misses legato mode, but the live mode does just as well and I can understand why there is no legatos for a 29£ library. I loved the ostinato articulations and the crescendos. Overall AMAZING product. I super recommend it if ur starting out with orchestral composition or if your a pro who what's a sting sample to block out their composition.
I own several string samples by different companies. I haven't used these yet in a project because I just got them, but in playing around with the sounds I can tell they're going to be very usable, very musical and ideal in many situations. The Spitfire interface strikes a very good balance between giving me control and ways to tweak the performance without getting overly complicated; I can quickly dial in what I need and get on with composing and recording!

Great sounds for the low cost.
My projects are in progress and the purchase is really recent so that I can give a constructive opinion, but the formatting of the midi file proposed on the occasion is a nice introduction.
Sounds great, a tad bit robotic but really cuts through a mix well.
