Clear sound and easy to use.
This is the first product I purchased at Spitfire Audio and it fit my beginner/hobbyist needs exactly at a reasonable price point for the quality and ease of use. It maps well to my MIDI controller and the sounds/effects change on the fly without issues. Solid buy for the beginner or someone looking to get their feet wet.
I bought this package because of the brilliant experience I’ve had with Spitfire’s BBC Symphony Orchestra. Having used this extensively in writing and recording work for both Unitopia’s upcoming ‘Seven Chambers’ album, as well as my solo work ‘Living in the Dark Ages’ (release imminent, I was thrilled to be given some voicing and technique options for string parts. Essentials provides this is not only strings, but also horns and woodwind. Welcome additions!!!

Great sounds, but needs a velocity sensitivity dial on the interface to allow for more precise control over the crossover between gentle and hard attacks of the notes.
These are great. Have just used them in a soundtrack for a Fringe show.
