Soft Nylon Guitar, from Mike Georgiades, offers the beauty and warmth of an intimately recorded nylon string guitar, whilst replicating all the behaviours and nuances of a real guitar through detailed scripting and careful calibration. As its name suggests, the samples were performed with emphasis on the soft and delicate. "Rather than using a full-size classical guitar and its somewhat ‘formal’ tone, I sampled a small- bodied nylon guitar that I have used countless times on my TV production music and video game scores, which offers a very flexible voice in many styles, from traditional classical and folk to modern production genres. After some years in development, my mission has been to offer a guitar VST capable of delivering ground-breaking realism through an intuitive real-time playing experience."

Sounds are beautiful. However operation needs some experience to play Guitar. I don't have experience of that. So, my review is a bit personal. It differ from I want. I have to learn about this software.

Very nicely done! I love the sound of the Nylon Guitar. My only complaint is that I wish it had the ability to add vibrato when playing notes.

Takes a bit of time to get used to using the many possibilities offered by this plugin - but it’s worth the time as it gives you a nylon guitar sound that is far superior to those offered in any DAW that I’ve come across. Oh yes, you do also need to download the free version of Kontact to access it - but that’s no problem

One of the best guitare samples ive ever heard but theres some weird glitch that plays sometimes when you play the samples with really low velocity. It sounds like a weird wobble.

This Kontakt instrument is really a master piece to have for who wants to have a very realistic guitar sound. The playing capabilities of the instrument are awesome, although a documnentation would be a nice to have, especially to know which key switches to use to acchieve certain articulations.

one of the best nylon guitar library I every used, the sound and feelings are real

Good effort at replicating a classical guitar (more natural sounding than most e.g the Omnisphere nylons), but sadly sounds too synthetic/ much like a harp in the higher register. Takes a bit of tinkering with velocity to take some of that artificiality away. Has to be played soft. Not a criticism of the creator, who has obviously put a lot of thought and effort in. It's just that there'll will never ever be a truly authentic sounding acoustic guitar, no matter how well you script it in Kontakt. It's the nature of the beast. That said, the instrument is lovely layered with a soft felt piano, or placed in a rhythmic role back in a mix where it almost convinces. I'm going to try it at some point with my Fishman MIDI pickup. I suspect my gentler guitar playing dynamics might do the product more justice than one dimensional plonking on a MIDI keyboard. Overall a good effort, but kid of regret paying the £79 price tag for another semi-harp, depending on which notes I hit. Sorry.
