Good library, but there are some intonation problems in places. That really should not happen because even with round-robins, the same note will repeat the error possibly quite close to the first one, and that makes it so obvious that it is a sample. Not mention the offence caused to one's ear each time. Overall well programmed, and does the job quite effectively, but sometimes requires more effort on my part to "clean things up" than it should do.

Amazing product overall. There’s certain aspects of some of the articulations that bring a sound im not fond of but love in other libraries. Thats the only reason I wouldn’t give a 5 overall.
Extremely satisfying with a lot of unique articulations
A gold standard.
this is perhaps still the best of the Chamber Strings libraries and I do like the expressiveness you can obtain by riding the vibrato and mod wheel. The range of articulations is spectacular, though curiously there are virtually no intermediate shorts which can lead to gaps in certain types of music. For proper legato joins, it's not quite ideal and unless you carefully control the velocity, the results can sound a bit bumpy. So -- by no means perfect but it certainly has its place and I look forward to investigating the more unusual artics.
Excellent
Beautiful plugin. The sounds are probably the most realistic you can get from a sample library and the Performance Legato and Legato Performance patches are one of my favourites. Just because it's playability and I love how much variety of articulations are there. The price is steep though, considering that it is an old plugin with Kontakt interface and they seem to not have updated this plugin in ages. However, after testing out the plugin I definitely do think it was worth it with the price I got it for anyways (40% discount I believe). I really wished they have a standalone plugin interface for this, as it sounds amazing and all I ask is to LOOK amazing too. Other than some few sample clean up errors, very satisfied with this product. Thanks Spitfire.
Sounds fantastic. Perfect string section for pop productions.
Very easy to use, lots of options and the sound it's great.
I'm not a professional composer of orchestral music. However, strings are an important element of modern pop music arrangements. The journey to find the best strings for modern pop music was a difficult one. That's when I came across Spitfire Chamber Strings. These strings fit extremely well into modern pop music arrangements and mixes. I'll be trying them out in many of the music I create in the future.
Excellent library. Can be used to write chamber music and for softer sounds in Symponic orchestration. Great for contempory pop too. Used with other spitfire libraries it adds lots of possiblities.
It really helps inspire my string writing by making it possible to hear so many articulations and expressive features.
Not bad. I was going for the SSS, but SSO had a much bigger discount on the SSO Chamber Strings Edition, so I went with that and I'm planning to complete the collection on a few months. Love the sound of the hall. Love the amount of articulations. The ensemble itself sounds okay. Not every sample library can pull off small ensemble/solo, especially when exposed. It's a bit nasal and performance legatos are a bit annoying after a while with that crazy vibrato. I much prefer the standard legatos in the main patches, a totally different sound. Speaking of the legatos.... those sound vary dated. There is a lot of competition out there nowadays, and this kind of scripting is a bit wonky, to say the least. And I know that this is not even as bad as SSS. I'd like them to update it in the future, given they're rolling out performance patches for the woodwinds and brass. However, there was never a mention about the SCS\SSS, so...
Nice tone from the spatial recording. Elaborate articulation options.
robust articulation sets and groupings of instruments. I think it could use the new SF UI though, so the articulations don't require so many instances.
Spitfire Chamber Strings: amazing library. Very versatile. Spitfire do some amazing products.
It is a carefully crafted and well recorded library with a high attention to detail. It is a perfect addition to the two other string libraries that I already own (Solo Strings and Symphonic Strings). It really enhances my works for chamber orchestra and works great as a tool to make my bigger orchestral works sound a tad more realistic and full. The interface is the same as with other Kontakt libraries and is very straightforward in user friendliness. Overall a great product!
UPDATE: Spitfire had refunded me, was really patient, and gave incredible service. It's unfortunate the issue with Native Access was never resolved. I spent 1500 usd on the software and I cannot even get kontakt installed on my pc. The non-kontakt software works fine, but anything related to kontakt and native access does not install. Furthermore, I've been dealing with Native Access support and they have yet to solve my problem. My computer is top of the line and works with every other software. It would be great to get a refund on the software that is related to using Kontakt player.
Awesome and very versatile library with a chamber ensemble. Easy to use and loads of opportunities to humanize the music :-)
Just discovering the potential of this awesome product
