This is my first Spitfire product. Bought it for a pop vocal track (Christmas song) I'm working on. The strings section size is perfect that sits beautifully in the mix. There are enough articulations to craft your orchestration in any way that you'd want. It's so good that I decided to upgrade to the Professional version to find out for myself how much it can still be improved upon.
I love the library, sometimes though they still sound very artificial and you'll have to blend with other libraries (which i love doing with your BBC) As well some samples contain noises which you'll find especially annoying when repeating notes as there are not always loads of round robins. The tree mic sounds lovely, the spot a little less good from my pov. Tuning is a little issue as well sometimes, but well it is not a big deal. Great work guys, looking forward for: Glissandi lib (as it seems to be fashionable at the moment) as well as an pianississimo to niente orchestra. When boosting the gain but letting the VST play very low dynamics it is very hard to get smooth ppp to niente transitions, they JUMP like a couple of dB from CC 1 being 4 to 0.... As well some VLN II sound a bit phasy, like if there would be a flanger on it when playing fast notes. i could send you examples if you want. That being said again i think it would be good to have a silent library playing only these very fragile dynamics, like you have it already done with the Olafur String Lib and the Henson Frozen strings. But of course this does not include all styles and playing techniques. Thanks and keep up your great work and your motivation Best, David

Chamber Strings are just spectacular!! They blend perfectly with SSO and SStO libraries as well as the Evolutions and Albions. I cannot be more impressed with Spitfire's libraries!!
I've recently bought Spitfire Chamber Strings: it's a great library!!! Used alone or layered with Spitfire Symphonic Strings satifies all my musical needs. Performance legato is astounding!
Love the samples.
Amazing detail in these strings. The flautando legato was essentially the reason for my purchase but there is so much more to these samples. This made a huge difference in my mixes. I noticed that my mixes seemed to open up and have far more detail and more of a sense of space than before. I highly recommend this set.
A samplelibrary that has everything you would want for string arrangements.

The sheer amount of stuff you get in this library is outstanding. The amount of varying articulations for each set of instruments is extremely useful and the performance patches are very fluid and musical, fantastic!
Unique sound, very versatile, nice quality recordings! Chamber Strings is definitely a little bit of a smaller sounding section than your typical symphony sized strings, but nevertheless sounds great. It’s very useable for many styles of music, and seems to excel at music for tv :)
What can I say after 3 weeks? I use this library almost every day. Even on days when I don't have any composing duties so I guess I'm an official fan now? I know its easy to give 5 stars to something you actually spent a few hundred bucks for. While trying to be rigorously objective, I still think this is an awesome and inspiring piece of software. To be quite honest, I only dug into the Orchestral Sample Library Black Hole of the internet a few months ago. Only having met Native Instruments' basic Kontakt Factory plugins and NI's Session Strings and IK's Miroslav Philharmonik (first version) so far. Recently I did a demo run of East West Composer cloud (30 USD for a month - a bargain compared to Spitfire's pricey libraries) but I just stopped using it before my first month run out. Didn't like the sound, the Play engine is quite difficult to use and I did not find any demos/usable manuals/YouTube material. On the long run, I decided its worth investing big bucks into something as versatile as Spitfire stuff. The biggest strength of Spitfire is without doubt the endless supply of YouTube videos explaining everything! Also, sonically, SCS beats the hell out of everything It sounds so great, so much better then anything else I tried. It's sensitive where it needs to be sensitive and its loud when it needs to be loud. So detailed. So lovely.

Very inspiring for composing all kinds of music.
I have only had Spitfire Chamber Strings for a very short time. However, the sound quality, control and general usability has so far exceeded my expectation. I would not hesitate to purchase another of their products.
