I'm absolutely blown away by this product. Beautiful big strings great for TV production music. I got this for half price with a code off voucher. Highly recommended.

for the sale price price, this is exceptional value. There is probably no more expressive chamber string package on the market. However, the programming does show its age in some ways -- legato transitions are not the smoothest, timings can be erratic and even tuning is not perfect though gives the nice feeling being human! Spitfire could do with more care for libraries like this being used in a programmed environment such as Dorico or a DAW, rather than only being designed for live playing where dynamic inconsistencies for instance matter less. Still, with a bit of work, this is certainly a nice package.
The stereo image function is broken when playing long notes. If you make the instrument mono using the stereo image function, the sound begins on one channel (either left or right) and pans to centre during the note, making the mono function unusable.
Good product
For a long time I've struggled with finding a good all around string library because a lot of them were too ''big'' and ''cinematic'' sounding. But with this library I'm able to get really lush sounding string arrangements that work in cinematic contexts but also I'm able to get a really warm, intimate sounding string ensemble which is perfect for anything outside of the cinematic realm. I'm using these in almost every scenario when strings are needed, either to complete an arrangement or to support live recorded string sections. It also has great handling and is easy to use, which is of essence when I'm in my creative process - I don't want to be interrupted by bad interface design and this is just perfect. I'll probably upgrade in the near future but with this you already get a really great starting point for a lot of uses.
I think this library brings clarity and sweetness to my string tracks. Thanks Spitfire
Paul Thompson is right about his walkthrough that 95% of the core articulations in this library are the most used articulations in a composition/arranging project. Well, for me, it's a hundred! However, just some technicalities in the library I would like to expect or maybe I just haven't discovered as there are a lot of assignable controls available to be re-mapped according to your heart's desire. In this case, I'm talking about the use of sustain pedals. I'm a fan of holding the pedal while I play legatos in most legato string libraries especially on live performances. If I can do it in the long sustains, why not as well in the legatos right? But that's just me. Overall, I love the sound! I agree to most reviews that this specific library, the Chamber Strings is a versatile library! You can choose to sound dramatically big or intimately dry and up close! The choice of number of players are just right! The marcato layer at high velocities is a very very useful articulation for me whether it be a legato or long sustains. Composing quite fast passages becomes a breeze! And I personally love the bass pizzicato which I find difficult to listen to in other string libraries to sit in a mix. It either sounds muddy, or thin, or weak, or washed in other libraries. This is the best bass pizzicato I've been looking for even if it's not a in a symphonic setup! The sound as a whole is the kind of sound I imagine and are familiar with when watching films. In short, this is the library that is likened to a friend. Your best companion on every string arrangement projects! Thanks you Spitfire! This is my first big purchase and I'm very happy with it!

Beautiful, amazing sounds that take you to another world.
Good Strings sound , small price
Gorgeous even as essentials and a really useful string library for layering another for your own sound. Useful for Williamsesque music or Zimmer layer walls.
It’s an amazing product I layer it with the spitfire solo violin, virharmonic cello and spitfire studio strings. I like using close mic because it’s more dry than the tree, this allows me to use my Bricasti m7 hardware reverb. Which is hardly the case with my other libraries like Hans Zimmer strings, Albion one and bbc core to name a few. One love from South Africa🙏🏿🙏🏿💯💯🔥🔥 I can’t wait to purchase the advanced version of chamber strings.
Sounds great, and smaller GB footprint than the full version, which is nice.
I already have the great ALBION ONE , and i wanted some strings more intimiste . It's done with Chamber Strings Essentials. A grandiose Plug in , and what a sound ... Thanks Spitfire Audio from FRANCE . Philippe LEONARD
The product is really professional. I had questions about installing on a second computer. The support worked immediately. I highly recommend it - you will not regret spending the money on the highest quality. My songs sound fantastic.
Fantastic library of beautiful strings.
Been wanting this library for quite sometime and now I finally have it at a reasonable price! Will be a staple in my productions from now on! love libraries that do not have alot of reverb and this one doesn’t!
Great try into Spitfire Chamber Strings. Keeps the footprint quite small and ticks a lot of boxes for bread and butter sting sounds. The ensemble patches are super useful on their own, but more so can be used to add clarity when combined with larger sections. Everything you need to get started writing convincing music for strings!
It’s very good. Nice detailed sound. Slightly pricey when Sunset Strings does more for similar cost. But I like the sound, so was related to pay. So it’s a “very good” rather than a “great”.
I like that you can use it in Kontakt 7.
