Excellent shop & website

I have bought a number of thing online and in-store from them in Chippenham for both myself and my children. Always very helpful and knowledgeable staff with a good selection of items.

Horrendous customer service

Delivery driver put the parcel in the bin on collection day. Asked for a refund or a new item to be sent out but they said it wasn't their problem and it was a successful delivery and washed their hands of it.

updated - A card was never put through my door. The recycling was collected on the same day you advised royal mail deliver. I sympathies that it is not your fault however it was your responsibility as you arranged royal mail to deliver and they have effectively binned my parcel.
As you stated, I did leave it some time before raising the issue with you as I has assumed there has been an error in delivering and as I was not desperate for the item so thought I would give you/royal mail the benefit of the doubt that it would eventually tun up.

I have not received a refund, my claim was rejected and the monies returned to you on the basis that putting the item in the bin constitutes a 'successful delivery'. I was not going to leave a review at all and have only done so because i have received neither the item or a refund

Dear Owen, let's start with a breakdown of the events which are all digitally evidenced and we can get a few things straight here.

Firstly, your order was delivered by The Royal Mail, who confirmed that the parcel was delivered to you on the 30th January.

A card was put through your door on this day to confirm that the parcel was in your paper recycle box.

The paper recycle box collection date for your address was not until a week later, on the 6th February.

You left it a further week to register a complaint with us with your claim that it had been delivered and thrown out by the refuse collectors.

As you will be aware, it is out of our control how the parcel is handled by the Royal Mail once it is in their hands, but despite this, we put a claim in on your behalf.

The Royal Mail refused your claim, based on the exact reasons listed above.

You received a full refund, at a cost to us, despite the doubtful scenario you claim to have occurred. It's a great pity therefore, that you chose to make this review of our service, rather than reviewing the Royal Mail (whose service you are claiming to find fault with).

As a small business, issues like this are extremely costly to us, having lost both the goods of your order as well as the cost of refunding you.

It's therefore even more hurtful that you would see fit to make this review.

Contrary to your edit, the refund has been taken from us on 9th April and we suggest you contact your bank as to why that hasn't appeared as you suggest.

Second to none for customer service

Second to none for customer service. We had a pair of faulty shoes (no fault of Sporting Billy) and they sorted us with a replacement in super fast time. Very responsive to emails. Will 100% shop here again, in fact I’ll make a point of looking here first! Many thanks 😊
