I think the bluetooth adapter is pretty cool. It was a fairly easy upgrade. I've got software written to capture it separately from their app (it is pretty easy, Steyr's Smartrix PWA exposes most of the protocol in the open clearly). But for most people, this is a ridiculous amount of money for just 'interesting data'. There's still a gap on their end for turning this into easy insights, right now the user still has to work a fair amount to learn anything from it.
