Unfortunate I do not recommend
I chose this company because they gave me the best quote, and to be fair, the boxes did arrive safely and nothing was lost. That is the only positive.
Everything else worked out more by luck than good organisation. I was told the pickup would be between 11:00–17:00 local time, possibly towards the end of the day. However, the DHL driver showed up at 09:30 on Tuesday, clearly annoyed that we were not there. He insisted the pickup window was 9–5. I called the office immediately to clarify whether 11:00 was UK time, and they confirmed on the phone that it was.
The DHL driver left, and when I asked for help, I was told this was the driver’s fault (the driver himself said the office mixes up the times often). I was then told they could not guarantee a pickup on Wednesday, even though they knew from the beginning that I was flying out Thursday morning. I was left completely hanging, having to choose between missing my flight or risking not handing over my belongings.
The only reason this worked out at all is because the DHL driver was empathetic and tried to help, saying that if the office put me on the Wednesday list, he would sort it out. The company still could not guarantee anything. Without the driver’s intervention, this would not have happened.
Communication afterward was just as poor. I was told I would be informed when the shipment left Ireland, which never happened. The tracking was not updated properly. At one point, it showed delivery on a Monday (updated a day before - on a Sunday), but when I called on Monday, I was told delivery would take at least another week. I asked if they could notify us in advance, and the answer was “probably, but not guaranteed.”
In reality, the delivery happened three days later, with the driver calling when he was already 30 minutes away, on a weekday.
Overall, while the items arrived safely, the communication was awful, the process was disorganised, and it caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress. Expecting someone to remain at the delivery address for 1–4 weeks without reliable updates is completely unrealistic.
Unfortunately I do not recommend this service.

Specifically, regarding shipment number #60439 (request date 09/09/2025), the initial request was for collection on 23/09. Following a telephone consultation with the relevant colleague, the date was rescheduled for 24/09, without any further notification of a problem. Furthermore, based on our email correspondence, the process appeared to have been completed smoothly.

Easy to use, unbelievably fast
Easy-to-use, very helpful instructions, unbelievably fast delivery. Door to door delivery for a 5 kg parcel, from Athens, Greece to Newcastle upon Tyne , UK in less than 24 hours although it was a festive period. Highly recommended .
