They took $400 from us

My 19-year-old son created an account on Hotels.com, which allowed him to book a reservation at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty, even though the minimum age for booking was 21. When my son learned this, he contacted Hotels.com to cancel the reservation and get a refund. After numerous phone calls and over the course of several days, Hotels.com informed us that they were unable to obtain approval from Springhill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty for the cancellation and that there was nothing else they could do. We called Springhill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty ourselves, which took 20 minutes to talk with someone, and they told us there was nothing they could do. It's only Hotels.com that we, as customers, can deal with on the matter, and if they told us it couldn't be refunded, there was nothing they could do. $400 lost. We will obviously never use hotels.com again and of-course share our experience with them and also Springhill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty on reviews and here.

I stayed at the location at 3950 Arco…

I stayed at the location at 3950 Arco Corporate Dr, Charlotte from 10/10/25 to 10/13/25 with my mother and younger sister. We also had 2 additional rooms 10/10/25 to 10/12/25. On 10/12/25, the fire alarm went off. My mother is disabled, we were in a room on the 2nd floor. She tripped going down the stairs and did an incident report. She reported the incident when it happened but the young lady was new, then the following morning, she reported the incident with the manager. The vice president of marketing also talked to us. Nobody has called her back and I can't sign into Marriott Bonvoy. It's like I'm blocked from the system. Because my mother is legally blind, I have taken her to several doctor's appointments. Is this how Marriott treats rewards members and people that are injured on the property?

I had a fantastic experience at the Chattanooga location!

I had a fantastic experience at SpringHill Suites Chattanooga. The location is unbeatable—right on the river with beautiful, peaceful scenery. I especially enjoyed the Jacuzzi and being able to walk right out onto the riverfront. The whole atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Chattanooga!

Deal Offered, No Follow Up

I called 1 hour ago and, when asking about a veteran discount, was told that they do not have any. This of course is fine, its not a requirement by any means, but when I mentioned that I would have to look elsewhere then do to the price, I was offered a 25% discount (with cancelation flexibility) to book with them as long as I became a free member. I had to talk it over with my partner, so I asked if I could call them back in an hour to secure the deal, to which I was told that I could. After shopping around, the 25% discount made this hotel the best deal, so I called back.

Calling back, I got the exact opposite experience. I was told that they would have no idea who I talked to (because they don't have any notes on any calls they take) nor what discount I was offered. I explained the offer and why it came about and was turned down by both the associate and the manager who oversee their customer service team.

As a massive company, they somehow have no way to track the calls or figure out who you talked to. Overall, a very poor customer experience, coming from someone who works in Customer Service!

Marriott, feel free to contact me about this review.

Terrible Service. Unprofessional & Inconsiderate

I stayed at SpringHill Suites Atlanta Buckhead location. The service I received as a loyal ambassador & titanium elite member during my stay here was terrible. The rep was inconsiderate, and extremely unprofessional. As a loyal ambassador & titanium elite member

I booked the room days in advance, but I ended up wasting 3x more money than the hotel cost after I arrived at the hotel to find out they had no rooms available.
Bc of this I also was extremely late for my business meeting, which was the only reason I flew into Atlanta.

The front desk rep Colin showed absolutely no care for the huge inconvenience caused to me.

My flight to Atlanta landed around 8am. I arranged an Uber to take me to the hotel, and arrived around 10:30am. I was willing to wait for a room, however, the front desk rep Colin said he didn’t know when rooms would be available. Then Colin lied to me claiming I could cancel, and get my paid points back into my account within minutes, so I could rebook somewhere else. I ended up having to book a same day reservation at another hotel at an extremely high rate because it was same day.

Terrible service! No respons to Booking or us as family

Terrible service: This hotel and the property doesn't give any respons to people from Booking! They ignore their emails! Our travel insurance advised us to cancel by Booking (where we made the reservation). They are asked several times for cancellation due medical problems. But it's not possible to contact them, so a warning to all! Even no reaction to us too which is really sad and bad!!! We're already trying together with Booking since 31 August to cancel with exception to cancel our trip which will start 21 September, with full refund, but with not any respons and no result. Even Booking is sending us that they don't respond!
Regards, Valerie

I contacted Spring Hill Suites to book…

I contacted Spring Hill Suites to book a reservation and I got the worst service anyone can ever experience from an agent who said her name was Thai. She refused to transfer to the location to get my questions answered and refused to get me over to a supervisor. She hung up on me when I continued to beg her to assist me like a human being. I will never stay at this location and it’s sad when I was ready to book for my daughters birthday party. All I needed to make sure is that the pool was open. The worst service ever! Will never stay here.

The worst breakfast ever

The room and people In the reception was ok.
The breakfast was the worst breakfast we ever had seen.
There was a lot of oatmeal for those who like that.
Only very little bread.
There was no eggs, meat, cheese or marmalade.
We will never stay in SpringHill Suites again.
