Avoid Sprout Financial!!!

Unfortunately the process didn’t go as smooth as I was hoping.

Sprouts Financial failed to fulfill their promises and I wasn’t able to open new credit cards. I and Mike discussed my case three times before I signed the papers. I made it very clear that 2 years ago I enrolled in debt management program and closed all my credit cards. He promised that they would do get me financed up to $25k.

On December 19th I received an email from Tea (Processor at Sprouts Financial). She asked me to call 3 banks and ask them why my applications were denied. The banks I must call were Chase, Bank of America and Citibank. These were exactly 3 banks I had closed credit cards and unresolved debt with (!!!).

I assume neither Mike or Tea studied or even opened my credit report (which they had access to and charged me extra $30 for it).

I sent Mike and Tea 3 emails asking them explain to me why they made such decision and what was their solution. None of them got back to me. Finally (after several weeks) Mike called me back. When we spoke on the phone, he neither acknowledged or apologized for their mistake. Instead he offered me to apply for personal loan (why do I need to pay him for it if I can easily go to the bank and do it on my own).

I politely shared with him my concerns about performance of Sprout Financial and told him that I wanted to terminate our agreement. He agreed and said that he would send me an email with termination.

When I was signing the contract with Sprout Financial I was convinced that they are charging 7% (!!!) fee because they have some “insider” information about the best credit card options for my situation. However, they didn’t really care about my case. They failed big time to provide me with the “best financial advice”. As a result after “working” with Sprout Financial I have 2 hard injurience on my credit report. (Luckily Chase bank denied my application without pulling my credit report)

After we terminated agreement, it took me 3 more weeks of constant emails to get back $30 I was charged. Not professional with reimbersment as well.

The moment I terminated my agreement. I applied for creadit cards myself and got aproval from Discover, Capital One and Wellsfargo.

Conclusion: You don’t need to pay extra money to a middle man to do the job you are capable of doing yourself.
Proved.
Sprout Fin sucks.

Sprout Financial has been very helpful…

Sprout Financial has been very helpful and professional. Their staff communicated the funding process clear and helped our process go as smoothly as possible. I have worked with another similar funding and credit score monitoring company in the past. This has been much smooth and I have appreciated the open communication. The level of professionalism is excellent.

Deceptive Practice

I was initially told if my credit application is not approved i would only pay $1 to start the application process. I was ok with the $1 being charged but once i was denied the charges kept coming. The following month i was charged $29.99. I called Brandon Hamby and informed him of the charged and he assured me he would email the "Submissions" department and will have it credited back to my card. Two months has passed and no credit. Im not sure if this is a credit monitoring company but i was told i had to have this credit monitoring service if my loan was approved. I still haven't gotten a credit back to my card for the $29.99 to date. I am going to report to BBB as dishonest paractices. CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!!!

This isn't necessarily a scam but...

This isn't necessarily a scam, but it is a waste of money. They promise to find unsecured lines of credit, which means that they fill out credit card applications on your behalf. This was not fully explained to me at the time that I applied and I was led to believe they had some sort of inside track. The truth is, they do absolutely nothing that you cannot do yourself. Then they charge you a massive fee for opening lines of credit with credit card companies, which are easily found using Google. Save your money. Do your own work.

The fist person I worked with at Sprout was a guy named Chris. He was absolutely professional and made me feel very comfortable going through the process. He was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions. The funding itself took some time but I'm very happy I used Sprout and I have no complaints.

When I allowed Sprout financial to …

When I allowed Sprout financial to apply for finance for a startup business, I speciffically asked what it would do to my credit score, they told me it should not affect my score. Well, from 780 it went down to 640! If i knew what the consequences were, I would not have gone this route.

I was surprised that I was asked to …

I was surprised that I was asked to call credit card companies and check in on the status of my application. I believe that is why Sprout is paid the fee.

I was denied for one credit card. I am surprised that this would happen as I was under the impression that Sprout has relationships with these credit card companies.

The process took longer than was shared when I signed up.

I was told I would only be charged $1.00 and then the "membership" would be canceled. I was later charged two payments of $39.99. Melissa did issue a credit right after I emailed her.

I received less than I was told at the initial meeting.

My credit report has tanked.

I was thinking, I could have applied for all of these cards on my own.

I would not recommend.
