I used Squabble to sue my landlord…

I used Squabble to sue my landlord because he refused to give me back my security deposit. We ended up settling and I received $1,300 of my security deposit without ever having to go in front of a judge. Highly recommend Squabble.

Calvin,

We received your first filed claim on Sunday. We reached out to you on Monday and began working on your claim and assigning a paralegal to your case. We also received another claim for for the same case from you last night with higher claim amounts and an updated explanation provided from you. This means we had to disregard your first claim from 2.5 days ago and we are currently working on your newer claim. We will reach out if there are any issues with your claim or if we need anything such as a document notarized - otherwise your claim will be filed shortly. Your original claim would have likely been filed last night or this morning had we not received a new revised claim from you. Hang tight! We are working on the case to make sure everything is filed correctly.

I haven’t heard from them in almost 2 months since filing in the court. Very disappointing and not able to call them and find status due to time constraints.

I am sorry you did not have the free time to check in with our case review team. We send out automatic status updates as your case progressed. Our last status was that the process server as having difficulty locating the defendant. In some case the defendant cannot be located as either the information provided is not current or they are being evasive. In these cases, we have to work with you on making sure we have the most recent information on the defendant's location and order an additional process server to serve the paperwork. You can check-in on your case at any time using our online portal or by simply contacting our case review team at casereview@squabbleapp.com.

Do not waist your money!

I gave this company $320.00 to basically throw my money away. They have terrible communication about details between you and the court. You are hiring them to guide you but there is no communication. My case was dropped by the court after they filed so I had to go and file the case myself and pay over again. They are a pretend to help you but all they want is your money.

Everything in your case filing from acceptance from the court to serving the defendant went smoothly. You were notified that your court requires you to register online for dispute resolution directly with them once your case was filed, accepted and served (which it was). Was your case dropped because you did not register online for dispute resolution (basically mediation)? Either way this would be very helpful information for us to know.

landlord issue

I had a small claims issue with my landlord and wasn't sure what to do about it. Hiring a lawyer wasn't in my budget. A friend told me about these guys and I saved enough money using Squabble that I took my buddy out to dinner to thank him! Great value and return on your time.

Again Squabble was not responding after…

Again Squabble was not responding after numerous follow ups, since it delayed the serving due to the issue I mentioned earlier (wrong address). I have to hire another new server to redo the serving, requesting Squabble to return at least the serving fee, to avoid double charge for me.

I believe as your client, my original intension to use Squabble was to rely on your knowledge, and save my time for filing a small claim case. But at the end, I spent more time to understand the requirements, and will have to communicate with the court on all the back and forth.

I think I have already been very kind to just ask for a refund of process of service fee, instead of the entire service. While I have been following up multiple times on various single question/request, which is very disappointing, and defeat the purpose of using your service.

Please take care of my request ASAP before this gets further delayed!

So far so good

So far so good. I have so many things going on. The seller of this house lied about so many things on the disclosure statement, but that's just throwing good money after bad. But the granite counter tops, I can get reimbursed for. They were not broken, yet he swears they were. I have photos and witnesses.

Worth every penny.

The process was so easy. I tried filling on my own but had no clue where to start or what I needed to file. In the end the defendant settled and I was awarded what I wanted. Squabble is an excellent service…worth every penny.

Don't Even Bother! Save your money!

The supposedly,"Triple-Checked," documents had spelling errors and read like a third grader prepared them. Complete and utter rip-off, I will probably contest the purchase with my credit card company since Squabble did NOT deliver the quality of paperwork that was promised. Unbelievable.
UPDATE:
In regards to the reply from Squabble: I disagree that a spelling error on one word (where most of the form is a prewritten template that you guys essentially just fill in a few blanks with the customer's information) is only a, "minor," oversight! Particularly because one of your selling points claims that each letter is, "triple-checked!" Also, you guys never 'fixed' anything for me! My letter remains misspelled. You replied that your team had, "fixed your algorithms," in your response to my email complaint, which is absolutely of no use to me. I also didn't care for the fact that you used your own demand letter as a chance to promote your brand by automatically claiming that Squabble would be handling any related future court filings. In other words, I DID NOT use your expensive self-advertisement as a demand letter. I compiled my own, citing specific components of state legislation that pertained to my issue. I received a prompt reply with updated account charges completely wiped with the promise of a full refund, tracking number to be provided soon. If they dont make good on their word, I'm confident that I can manage to file on my own. I plan on submitting the low-effort demand letter as evidence to my credit card company to get them to reverse the $65 charge, as you failed to provide the level of service that was promised.

Sara,

We did make a mistake in the word Deposit that was spelled "Desposit". We fixed it for you right away. We apologize for that oversight. if there is anything else we can help you with on your case please let our team know!

We feel like we made a minor mistake and feel like we did more than 1 star of service. Regardless, we are here for you in the coming weeks and would love to know if your demand letter and court paperwork helped you to settle your case without having to file in court. If you do end up needing help filing in court and serving the defendant we are here for you on that as well and ready to provide you with 5-star service!
