After handing the nurse my phone, she started scrolling through all my calls. What? I had gone through all the pretesting for cataract surgery, cost around 3,000baht and was reassured by Dr. Paradee that all should go well. I was never able to get an exact price. I had called many times about this and they kept saying Oh you want to cancel? A few days prior, and finally assured it would be between 50 and 52k baht I said OK Great. On the day of the surgery a staff member called at maybe 7:30am and said to report at 9am which I did. I had been using the pre surgery eye drops for 5 days. They said to report to the 6th floor, where all the drama unfolded at the cubicle, with at least ten employees staring at their mobile phones ganged up to support the main nurse who spoke English and told me I did not have an appointment. That certain angry lady said 'you do not have an appointment'. I showed her the number of the person that called and had confirmed the appointment. Then she kept my mobile phone and started scrolling through all my phone calls. UNACCEPTABLE..
After a very heated discussion I left with all my paperwork.
Regarding scheduled cataract surgery gone awry one month ago. Later 11-Feb-26 I called Sriphat about the screw up which had yet to be resolved. Finally after numerous calls, a lady called back to discuss possibly re-scheduling it. She said she would call back. She called back on Feb 11th and said yes we can reschedule but the new price is 70,000 instead of 50,000. A 30% plus price increase. This place is for Thai people only. Foreign customers should avoid this place. They are extremely disorganized with a general feeling of racism. Of course some of the people there are very kind and genuine, including Dr. Paradee. I wonder if she would get a 33% pay raise if I decided to go through with this?
