Disappointing Purple Gift Card Limitation

I had a frustrating experience regarding the Purple Gift Card. On Jan 2, 2026, a Zara concierge at SM Megamall informed me that the card cannot be used during the first four days of ANY SALE for all SSI Brands. This was later confirmed via text by customer support of ssilife.com.ph.

This condition was never explained when the card was purchased, despite the card being presented as “as good as cash.” My family, who purchased and gifted the card, was completely unaware of this limitation. The lack of transparency resulted in a wasted hours of store visit and unnecessary inconvenience. Restrictions like this should be clearly disclosed before purchase.
