My experience with Stax has been one of excellence and professionalism. I had the pleasure of working with Amanda, who walked me through the whole process, from introduction, to application. Amanda has been dutifully responsive, timely answering questions, calls and emails; her work should be a benchmark through which payment processing firms are measured.

Fairly good, the pricing model could be better
The subscription-ish pricing model is a bit annoying- the -ish- being that the subscription scales up in price to around .5% of your transaction volume; which, a flat .5% fee for the transaction volume you do on the platform would be more transparent/mean we don't overpay if our transaction volumes are not at a consistent level, but alas.
The platform was easy for us to integrate with via the API, and the UI for creating and sending invoices is pretty straight forward.
They claimed to have support for Canadian bank transfers, but we have yet to test this functionality, and haven't seen any evidence of this payment method being available to us.

They lied about integrating with QuickBooks Online
They lied about integrating with QuickBooks online in the sales process - turns out their integration is completely broken and has been for years.
Once I was a paying customer, my account rep basically "disappeared". Support was slow to respond and felt standoff-ish.
I used them for 3 months and promptly switched to another payment processing vendor that has been great to work with: eBizCharge.
