I had a great experience at FL. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. They all went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was fruitful and exceeded my expectations. Bridgette and Christine are absolutely awesome! Superstars! I greatly appreciated all the assistance from there administration staff. They were extremely nice and accommodating! I highly recommend FL Nice.

Even though I had an OK experience with their classes, I’m only giving France Langue one star.
Back in December I requested a refund for the class I had signed up for in the new year and I got told it would be refunded within 30-60 days. It has now been over 100 days and it has not been refunded. Each time I mail them, I get a new excuse and that they thank me for my understanding, patience etc.
I’ve told them I’ll stop emailing them when I get my money back. So hopefully it will happen soon.
I’ll update this review when and if I get my money back.

Very disappointed. First I was told my class was at the school, when I arrived I was then told it was online and I had missed the first 10 minutes. Once I had logged into the zoom class I quickly realised I was put in the wrong level class as they were all speaking French and I couldn’t understand a word! I told the lady in the office, she then explained to me that they had no more space in the beginners class even though I had already paid nearly €400. I asked if I could have a full refund and she said yes. After visiting the school every week for 4 weeks they said my refund was still being processed. Then at Christmas (I left the school in September) I was given a voucher to spend on other classes even though I had been promised a refund. After emailing the school every week since Christmas I have finally received the money in March!!!! 6 months after I had to leave the school because of their mistake. Very disorganised.

I have loved this course online! My teacher and class were delightful and I would recommend this program to anyone. It was a good balance of speaking, grammar, vocabulary and aural skills.

Karine is wonderful! She is always punctual, enthusiastic, dynamic and knowledgeable about the many themes covered in her daily workshops. She has perfect time management and control of the class, offering all students of various levels an equal opportunity to learn and improve their spoken French. I look forward to continued courses with her. Merci, Karine!

I had a wonderful experience with France Langue in Nice. Our classes were online due to the pandemic but I still felt like I got a lot of important practice and review. There were lots of opportunities to speak and the students participated equally. I would absolutely recommend these classes to someone! Thank you to Prof. Laure from Bordeaux and the class Province 902 for all of the practice, laughs, and interesting conversations!

it was alright, but the subjects were a bit boring and the teachers weren’t great at understanding questions and suggestions. i don’t regret doing the course but i wouldn’t do it again.

Good when it comes to speaking practice. But I don’t feel like my French improved, the syllabus didn’t feel structured.

I went into France Langue with a lot of excitement and hope that I would be able to improve my French skills but after spending a term there I can say I was disappointed with what I had paid for. First of all I would like to say that it is nothing against the individual teachers but rather as the school as a whole. I was surprised to be told on the first day of class that we were expected to pay for our own books which all together cost around €30 which on an au pair salary is a large amount of my wages as it was not advertised on the website that I would be paying for my own books and with the amount that I paid for the school I would have expected at least the books to be provided in the classroom. I also found that throughout the term all the grammar we learned was all over the place and there was no structure for the students, we had no idea what was going to happen each time we went to class. The vocabulary we learned as well was very random and didn’t seem to follow any pattern as one week we learned sports and the next week it was chores and then back to sports, what annoyed me about this was that rather than actually teach us the vocabulary and then do the worksheets and revise what we learned we were just expected to fill in worksheets and then it was your fault if you didn’t know the vocabulary you hadn’t been taught.

The teacher was verry good. I booked a guest family with them and the service was very good as well. I wasn't getting along with my first hostmum but they changed me to a new hostfamily within the same day after I complained. prices for the language lessons are quite competetive. there is just one thing that really dissapointed me which is that if you book afternoon activities they can be heavily overpriced. I booked diving courses with through them and In the end I paied 300€ more than if i had just booked directly at the diving school. They tried to explain to me that it has something to do with taxes but I don't really think that there are taxes that do a nearly 100% price increase. So do not book afternoon activities at the school but book them directly at the provider.

Everyone is very responsive which is good. However they have many techniques of eating up your money. For example they sell their programs saying “lessons”. Please know each lesson isn’t 1 hour. It’s only 45 minutes. So if you purchase a 20 lessons course thinking you’re going to have 20 hours of learning, unfortunately you’re wrong. You’re actually only getting 15 hours. And this also Includes group projects that isn’t necessarily teaching time. You only really have 9 hours of teaching in a 20 lesson package. They also don’t provide book materials and it’s just pieces of paper which makes it hard to follow your own progress based on DELF

Staff are eager to please and very responsive. The teachers are excellent and supportive. I wish the online classes were not on the complex Microsoft 365 platform but that is my only complaint.

An excellent course at an amazing school. I learned more French in a week than I did the previous six months. The class format was highly conductive to learning. Every day brought new ideas and new knowledge of France and the Francophone world.

40 % of the tuition was invalid or missed (advertised 20 hours/week scheduled in the school):
1. "cultural activity" ... visit of the museum or photo exhibition instead of normal tuition (2 hours a week)
2. "one teacher for two groups" located in two different rooms in the same time (4 hours a week)
3. "testing of the new students" - instead of 2 hours tution on Monday morning (cancelled without substitution)
