They send out fake codes in exchange for your hard earned points.
I completed a task that involved subscribing to something (it was a free trial) and they sent me a code...and it didn't work. I thought it was legit. I googled it beforehand and I found info that said it was legit but I guess it's not as I see this page which didn't come up in my initial google search.
