1 Year of wearing these boots pretty much 5-6 days a week, here's the review on how they held up. Note that these boots were dry brushed cleaned and the leather oiled at least 1-2 times a month depending on how dirty the jobs were as general up-keep. I work as a plumber in a more rural area, so these boots have been subjected to standing water/mud/food & chemical greases/glues/human&cow feces.
Comfort and fit were 5/5 right from day one of wearing to the time of writing this review.
Toe cap on left boot starting to peel/detach from boot, and bottom sides of soles starting to detach a little bit as well, which does allow water to seep in a bit faster than normal. Outside treads on soles still in good shape, have saved my feet from several good sized nails.
Inside wear and tear better than expected, back heel cup wore through the top fabric layer to bottom plastic(?), but still comfortable. Fabric inside safety toe wore through to rubber coating on underside, but again, still comfortable and not sharp/abrasive unlike some other brands that's done that on me. And the safety toe is ACTUALLY WIDER so it fits across all my toes instead of cutting into my little toes- so if you get a wide fit on your boot the toe box is also WIDE.
Leather around the outside on the widest part of my foot has started to crack a bit.
Still have the original laces which have held up amazingly well considering!
Would buy again, and recommend. My only complaints were that the boot doesn't have any pull tab in the back to assist getting on, and that I wish the company made their 8" boots with the bump toe cap as well because often times the water levels go higher than 6" and a taller boot would be ideal for those times

Hi guys I've recently moved from Australia bavk to my home country Ireland after 12 years in aus ,
So had to keep buying these boots ever since I started wearing them in a sticky build up season in Darwin to a cold icey construction site in dublin , no matter what the weather is they are so good, think first pair a bought here ih dundalk the zipper broke but they replaced ASAP,

I have owned my boots for exactly 2 months and the soles are cracking. I went back to were I had bought them from and they said they would order another pair but I needed to wear my boots for 2 more months to see if they continue to fall apart. I wasn't very happy. Why couldn't they just give me the new pair? I paid over $200 dollars for these boots and they only lasted 2 months.

By far - Best work shoes on the planet. Most comfortable and durable. Amazing construction that makes them top notch. Everything you want AND need in a work boot. True to fit. I am telling everyone I can. We need these on our feet. I wish I had them in the Military - I would not have the issues with my feet I have now. I wish I could be their spokesperson.

These are the most comfortable true to size women’s work boots I have ever worn. I ordered online, and I was blown away when they were delivered!! Exceeded all expectations!

I have the Steel Blue Argyle Side Zip internal metatarsal puncture resistant boots. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. After a year, I need to get new insoles. My initial concern was with the durability nod the zipper.l need not worry. It took some getting used to, not having a pull tab, but si have adjusted.

These boots are very high quality. I purchased the Hobart Steel Toe boots and am very pleased. The cushion is the best of any shoe I have ever experienced hands down. I am a industrial mechanic on my feet and up on ladders many hours of the day and these are very comfortable. They felt already broke in right out of the box.

Steel blue are by far the most comfortable boot I've ever worn, I'm a roughneck and I'm on my feet 12.5 hrs a day for 14 day hitches and my feet are my livelihood, so having a boot that's not only dependable but extremely comfortable is a must and steel blue boots have exactly that.. I personally wear the heeler bump cap or the square toe. I would recommend these boots to anybody looking for a pair of boots that have stood the test for me and I will only ever buy steel blue boots for work since I discovered them just a year ago September 22, 2022 to be exact and I continue to wear steel blue today and will continue to wear them as long as I work in the oil and gas industry or need boots to work around the house.!

These boots are extremely uncomfortable. I have tried to give them time to break in by forcing myself to wear them for as long as I can tolerate the pain. The foot padding is terrible and my toes feel like they are being crushed.

I've had a lot of boots but my Southern cross's are just a league above. They stay tied all day, they are tough but look good, they don't hold any odors, they regulate heat better then other boots, they are more comfortable then my Ariats, and the zipper makes them easy to put on and gives me a tighter fit. I wasn't sure about the zipper at first but it's my favorite part.

First off, I never take time to leave reviews, but this is a must. Never have I put on new shoes, boots, anything and been able to wear them that full day and every day after. Zero break in time, so comfortable. Zipper is a game changer. Well done Steel Blue, well done.

I currently own two pairs, the Hobarts and I think the other is the Argyle, it's steel-toed and has a side zip where the Hobarts are soft and slips on.

I use the Hobart's for day-to-day/dress shoes and the other for working on projects.

Both are comfortable and have helped my feet survive at the end of a long day of standing/walking on cement surfaces. The zipper on the Argyles has been a godsend when working outdoors in the mud and needing to enter the house for a bit. Just the ability to zip these on and off is a good enough reason on its own to have a pair.

Both look great and each has gotten me compliments during my time wearing them.

my one and only small complaint is that the grip of these boots in snow/icy weather could be improved however it's not worth deducting any points from, especially given these are from an Australian company where you have to send out a search party in order to find snow.
