They are permanently closed now and its no wonder. My husband priced the components individually and it was same price to buy frim them as a kit. Which i.did. however it said built and shipping for 2 months and I called repeatedly with no answer. Finally a man named Sean replied and said he had been brought in to take care of the backlog. The woman.i got before was no help..she just kept whining that they are a small company.in the mountains and shipping is hard. Thats bull..pretty sure mail service goes everywhere. Once i.got it we got it on fine and works great, but the warranty.is no good as they went out of business. I think they grew too fast for their shop. Shouldn't have advertised in bike magazines
Let's face it, these guys were just resellers of off the shelf components that are available to all from various suplliers/manufacturers.
After I installed the ST900, I sat back and relived the whole thing.
Very quick to take my money, extremely slow ( 3 1/2 weeks to tune speakers ??? ), shipped to Canada with UPS, ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE, in all a 5 1/2 week oddesy.
So I called them to state my case.
Install kit was way over the top for a motorcycle, could reduce and charge less. " We just buy car installation kits ". 60 amp fuse block over the top, could use online spade fuse. "Your right but part of the kit " Bolts for bar clamps 3/8" to long and have unique thread." Could send you new ones "
I could go on for a while about it but I'm sure you get the jist.
Bottom line, ST900 is a great system. My Road King is very loud, 140kmh and it still rocks !!! It was the retailer that was the problem.
Made my order in May got my order confirmation soon after. A couple weeks go by and I don't hear anything so I email them, they say they're having some trouble getting parts; OK no problem I can understand. I check in once a month for 3 months trying to give the benefit of the doubt. I go to check recently and the website is expired, I email them and the system returns it with an error saying the email doesn't exist also tried calling and get absolutely nothing. So now it seems like they disappeared I never got my order and I'm out $900. Nice job guys.
Ordered my system in Dec 2023 - Charged me right away almost $700.00. Was close to the end of January 2024 before I got my system. Fast forward 5 months began having issues with the system in May 2024 - contacted them by e-mail and explained what the system was doing (stops working for no apparent reason). Stated they would send me a new amp. It is now Aug 21, 2024 still no replacement amp. Worst company ever don't give them a dime. I will be warning people everywhere I can not to do business with this Fly by Night Company. They are horrible.
Worst company I nave ever dealt with. I ordered a pair of speakers July 15, received an immediate email stating they would let me know when shipped, a week later nothing. After several attempts calling I finally got a hold of a person. He said I only ordered buckets without speakers. I told him to cancel the order and I would re-order. Took 4 days for this to happen. As soon as I had confirmation the order was canceled I ordered the correct speakers $444 dollars. I paid extra for expedite shipping this was July 25th. This is August 17th still nothing, I did receive a e-mail August 8th stating a shipping label was created and waiting on shipper to give ups the item. It takes about 40 tries to get someone to answer the phone. They need a negative rating they don’t even deserve a 1 star.
THE WORST COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVERY DEALT WITH. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I PLACED AN ORDER ON MAY 13 2024 NOW IT IS JULY 18 NO PRODUCT RECIEVED AND NO RETURNED PHONE CALLS. HOWEVER THEY DID CHARGE MY CARD AS SOON AS I PLACED THE ORDER. $749.00 PISSED AWAY.
Steel Horse Audio got my speaker pods, grills and all the mounting hardware to me in Record Time!!! I am extremely grateful for the great product and fast delivery service!!! Highly Recommend!!!

Do not buy anything from this company it took me 6 months to get my product which wound up showing up to be wrong they lied to me said that they were going to upgrade my order because I was stuck in your old computer system and when I got my order it was not what I whenever you try to get in contact with them they never contacted me back and took them three almost to 4 months to contact me back they're Liars they are completely lying scamming I'm calling consumer affairs and sending your piece of crap speakers back

Where do I start? I processed a warranty claim in April 2023 and was told that they would send me a new amp and 4 speakers. February 2024 and I have still not recieved a shipment from them even after recieving emails saying it has been shipped. I like the st900 system and it rocks I just wish their customer service was half as good as the product.

if i could give 0 stars i would. TERRIBLE. customer service is awful, they do not respond to emails or calls. placed an order 2 months ago, it was supposed to take 2 -3 weeks to fulfill the order. NOTHING. i emailed them 3 weeks later and they responded 3 days later stating the order was on QA status, however, when I checked on their website it stated the order was pending, I checked again 3 days later and it stated shipping soon. it has been a month since then and still no shipment.
I inquired about the shipment and they sent me a bogus lie stating that it was on its way,, yet no tracking number was given. Sent yet another email requesting a tracking number and they gave me more bogus answers. 1 week later, they send me an email saying " "We're happy to let you know that your order has been shipped!" and gave me a USPS tracking number...problem is, the USPS had not received the shipment, Steel Horse Audio had only created a label.
emailed them again, and again everyother day for a week. now they gave me this bogus email..."I'm excited to share that your system was dispatched with our freight forwarder late last week.
To expedite the delivery, we upgraded the shipping, and you can anticipate receiving it within the next few days. Tracking information should also be available starting on Monday, if not sooner.
Thank you for your patience, and if you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out."
Guess what...USPS STILL hasn't received the package..beware of these scammers, they were quick to take $400.00 but very lackadaisy to respond to emails or just send the product that was purchased.
Do yourself a favor and purchase anywhere else but here

Took longer than expected to receive package. Bought the ST400 and a week later Bought the Bluetooth receiver and they both came in the same package 📦 which was awesome. But overall I'm very pleased with the ST400 and Bluetooth receiver.
I got the ST900 with the 4 channel Rockford Fosgate Amplifier. As of right now I have a pair of 4 inch 2-way KS series & a pair of 5.25 KS series Kicker Speakers. And it ROCKS !!!!
I did a grueling 1.5 months of research before buying. Here are a few of the reasons I choose, Steel Horse Audio.
#1. They answered all my questions in good time. And, the answers were verifiable. .. Even after the order when I decided to change form the 2 channel to the 4 channel amp, I had no problems doing so. With no up charge for the change. I made changes & can rightfully say I'm a pain in the rump as a customer. But, they were great about it all. Doing what had to be done to make sure I got the system, "I" wanted. Not what they thought I should have.
#2. The system is high quality.. Including the wiring harness they include with the system. You're not going to do better than Rockford Fosgate amps for volume & sound quality. The Kicker KS series, 2-way speakers pump out a lot of sound. And, sound good doing it. The MTX bluetooth controller is top notch as well. To do better you'd have to spend a lot more money for a controller.
#3. I've tested the sound quality & volume with and with out the shield. With out the shield I can hear it easily up to 80.. With the shield I can hear it at 90. No problem. And, it sounds good doing it. At 70+ with the shield I could listen to Traffic and enjoy the intricacies of the music. . Which is nice.
#4. They offer a veterans 10% discount. And, allowed me to take a 1 minute video of me destroying my old useless boss system to satisfy the trade in offer. Saving me $17 in shipping..
#5. Warranty. The 5 year warranty covers "Everything" in their systems. A number of their competitors say they offer a lifetime warranty in big print. But, if you read the warranty info all the way through. You find that the major components are only covered for at most a year.. And, that after 60 - 90 days if you have a problem with the amp, speakers or controllers, you have to contact the manufacturer.. It's not their problem anymore.. If you have a problem with something in one of the Steel Horse systems in that 5 year time frame. They take care of it. They don't try to pass the buck.
So, for me Steel Horse checked all the boxes..
Only problem is I got a pair of the 5.25 & a pair of the 4 inch speakers. When I should have chosen to get 4 of the 5.25 inchers. ha,h,ha.. But, it wouldn't surprise me if they worked with me to fix "my" mistake on that.. So, if you like actual customer service, quality components, a real warranty, and more. Go with Steel Horse Audio.
I might just buy another pair of the 5.25 inch speakers. And use the 4 inchers on another bike I have with the Kenwood amplifier. . lol.
My last review was less than positive, but it had nothing to do with the actual system! It was all just a huge misunderstanding and Jessica/ Office Manager was wonderful at helping me resolve it.....
The system it's self was great, but it did not work for my bike. I like to wear the super patted helmets and I have super loud Samson fishtails. I will say I could hear the system very clearly bar hopping but not on the highway. The sound on the system was veryyyy clear as well. :)

Steel horse audio is a very poor system least the one I got i sent mine back to home for a refund it's been over 2 or 3 weeks they won't answer my calls it kept my money they have my stereo so i do not recommend this to anybody
