I've been with Stem Since August 2023 and I haven't been paid for anything and Support do not respond. I also use DistroKid and prefer it 100% more than Stem. Will never release through them again
No doubt stem is legit, I worked with them and I haven't had and issue with them, there are fast and legit, You can distribute with stem no doubt you will get paid after you distribute, STEM best leading distributors in the world.
They were amazing and probably still are, but the transition once they chose to stop working with indie artists, was a completely horrible experience.
Straight up just "hey, we don't really care about you anymore! I know you make around $100 a month with us, but since that's only $5 for us, we don't want you around, bye!"
It is a really good website nonetheless, just not a solid way to treat the ones that work hard and wanted to stick with a solid distribution service.
Was very pleased with stem for the longest time until they decided to drop all indie artists. The way they've handled the transition has been a disaster. Resulting in half the labels music is going to need to be transferred and the other half will still be on this joke of a platform. Very disappointed
Stem is a music distribution service, I work with them, distributing my music worldwide, never had any issues with the delivery and it's pretty fast, they are serious and take care of their clients, payments are made clearly, the tool to manage your catalog is pretty clean, no hidden costs, and fast support with edit privileges if you need to edit your album metadata, well, I recommend Stem!
