I realized already at the start that the journey would not be easy. The lady at reception harshly scolded me for arriving only an hour before departure. The thing that bothered me the most was the fact that even though I had booked a shared bedroom (in the description it was written "possible sharing") I had to travel with 3 people, presumably truck drivers, all smokers, and in the room it was impossible to sleep and breathe because of the smell of smoke they had on them. I highly recommend that, if you're sharing a room with a partner, you assign rooms, especially considering smoke-haters.
I had room 9903. The lock on the inside of the bathroom had dissapeared. The main lamp in the room almost didnt work. The TV didnt work.
Trelleborg - Rostock
Asked to be at terminal at least 60 mins beforehand but when you finally get on the boat the cabins are not ready until just before departure. Which is of course an awesome idea on a night ferry. Staff were frankly pitiful in their jobs and customer service did not really care. Well done Stena. I guess there are always other companies in the future.

I have booked ferry Rostock- Trelleborg for 2 persons with booking for the 13th of Mai.
> Due to technical reasons the ferry had to return to Rostock after 3 hours and we had to take the next ferry.

I contacted the claim department but i got no answer for 2,5 months and i m still waiting.
It is the worst customer service i ever had. In the future i ll use TT line .
Didnt let a car on when the boat didnt leave yet. Poor customer service outside the boat. Bad rules because they doesnt let passengers on when they have picture of their passport beacause of that 2 of our players dindnt come on the boat and a parent have to stay in denmark and could not join the boat. Bad service!

We began travelling on the route Harwich-Hook of Holland in 2015 and we've done a return journey every summer and have loved it! It's been a 5 star experience for myself and the family, a really enjoyable part of the holiday that we all looked forward to. In June we travelled with the refurbished Stena Britannica on the day sailing and I wanted to share some of our opinions and observations. First the good bits: check in is always quick; driving a motorhome aboard is easy as there's plenty of space and no ramps to battle with; most of the furniture had new coverings and the tables and carpet were also new which gave it a fresh look. Now to the less good....by building a long wall to the new Plus Lounge the sea view in the Taste Restaurant is now restricted to two sides and makes the restaurant darker; people still sleeping on sofas; the exquisite Metropolitan Restaurant is gone; the Taste Restaurant used to have quite good food too but our three meals Chicken Breast with Gremolata, Beef Sirloin Stroganoff and a pizza (wrong one delivered to table after 25 min. wait) were very average and not worth the money. I complained and got a carrot cake for free and the waiter said kitchen staff not happy with new menu either; although ship looks fresh it also feels pared down and plain like a budget airline whereas before it had a touch of luxury and was full of fun details. I could go on but will end by saying that the reason I write this review is that we love Stena Line and kind of wish we could turn the clock back.......

I loved travelling with stena line. It was my first time on a ship, so I was pretty scared, it turned out much better than I expected. The employees were nice. The only thing I didn’t like, was that you have to pay for a seat or anything else, but everyone on the ship slept whenever they wanted, some random guy got into our seats and we were shocked. Because, why we have to pay for some seat if we can sleep whenever we want, okay if you take your room, but hello? In my opinion having to pay for a seat is not that important, cause I promise you will see sleeping people everywhere on the ship. But everything else was great. Thank you for your service and nice experience with stena line!

Omboard but why is it that big groups of young people without dogs always settle the same place? I cant move away from my spot bc it is a pet area and they are noisy and not respectful. This means three hours bad trip. I wish I could move around then I could also go to the restroom and get some food etc.
Booked a passing between Trelleborg - Rostock with tt-line, that was operated by stena line. We booked a cabin so we could get some sleep, because we had been driving for 9 hours and had 16 more hours to go. Apparently tt-line didn't send this information in our booking to stena so we didn't get a cabin.
Stenas personell didn't try to help us at all, except from two things, first was that the only thing we could do was to contact tt-line about our situation, but tt-line wasn't available until hours after departure time... Second thing was that we should book with Stena instead of tt, yeah right! Never using either Stenas or tt's services again.
Paid for a cabin, ended up having to sleep on the floor..
I have several bad experiences with Stena Line. The customer "service" does not onderstand the word service. They are rude and customer unfriendly. The latest bad experience I have had, when I had selected a trip for a specific price. When I wanted to do the payment, the price had suddenly been increased a lot. I have complained about this but Stena Line does not care. Stena Line is by the way far too expensive. 500 euro's for 1 person in a car in the cheapest bunk on the route Kiel Göteborg is crazy. My recommendation avoid this company. Too expensive no service.
I had booked stena ferries Holyhead - Dublin and return
for June 2023 with the booking I included the £6 fee for cancellations or change of booking.
Unfortunately i had to cancel my bookings for June. Easy process, no questions asked and refunded two days after.
Thank you Stena line for making this process completely stress free.
I wish i could give minus to this awful experience traveling with Stena Line from Gothenburg to Kiel. We traveled with a dog that is like a child for us, a family member. This is true for many of us with pets and the condition on the boat for pets are the most disgusting and horrible I have experienced. The pet area is only a tiny part of the deck. There was a tiny square of fake grass and that’s it. Everything stank with pee and there was pee everywhere. They never clean. An open bucket filled with dog poo added to the scent of Stena Line. There is not a bench or even a stool for anyone who needs to sit down with their dog. I had to walk mine around the minimal deck for 30min before he looked at me like I was doing something to hurt him, and he finally peed because he was bursting. There is no where to take a dog to the side if he is afraid of other dogs. They are all forced to be cramped in this area. The only living being I would be ok with giving this treatment to is Putin. Shame on Stena Line for being so greedy and only focusing on the fat tourists crowding in their liquor store, SHAME🛎SHAME🛎SHAME🛎
Look, I don't know where to start. Now lets start with check in. This might be the longest thing I've experienced. Secondly it takes ages before you actually enter the boat. thirdly they're never on point when it comes to arrival or anything. There's always a 30 min + delay. Their Cabin isn't we'll cleaned and so on. They're so much this company needs to improve. I would personer not recommend it but if you have to the I guess.
During covid stena line makes you book a cabin during the journay, supposedly to decrease risk of contagion. This would make total sense if it wasn't because all the bars, buffés, etc. were open, and no one using face mask. Stena like had a great idea about how to make some extra cash out of the pandemic.
What we can say about this company and how they behave. Bought a trip from Sweden to Poland, and from there continue to other countries. There is no demand for corona test for transit through Poland but suddenly received a SMS from Stena that I need test to can come on the boat. Looks like Stena it's another country.
When you are reserving a trip they ask you 2-3 times if you don't want to buy flexi ticket but when want to cancel they don't ask you.. they are just happy if you push the button.
In the beginning of Corona when all the countries started to close the borders like rabbits, I wasn't able to contact them or to cancel the trip so lost money for that trip too....
Sad that in this times when people should gather together to go through Corona as easy as possible, there are this types of companies.

Travelling from Frederikshavn - Göteborg 8/7-18 with a night departure from 04 - 07 am and were expecting to get some good breakfast but there is no such thing on this departure! Only hot food and bad sandwiches.
