I am so glad I reached out to StepChange when I struggled. I wouldn't have been able to manage my debts without their help.

I am so grateful to this charity. I have just paid off my final debt and for the first time in years I am now debt free. If it wasn't for the empathy, lack of judgement and calm and helpful advice from Step change over the years I don't know where I would be now.

Awful customer service, did everything the asked for took ages to even set up as they were asking questions that I already answered while setting it up like 3 times same question, then after all that hustle they said I need phone, what else is needed shoes size? Hoodie size? Absolutely awful for me anyway I am contacting ombudsman about that got all the screenshots now that I needed.

Such nice people to deal with, helped me set up a a manageable DMP, liased with debtors to come to a workable monthly payment. Without Step change I would have been in financial ruin.

Help and great advice at a time when we really needed it.

Through out the years I have been with step change they have always been very helpful and supportive in their dealings with my late husband and myself.

Step Change took all the stress and worry out of paying my depts off at the worst time in my life . They created my DMP with myself & set up the payment plan . I then did not have to have any further communication with the organisations I was in dept with. All I had to do was commit to the monthly payment . They were always available to talk to when I needed to talk to them. I felt they always had my best interest at heart. Now I am completely dept free ! I would recommend their services to anybody 100%

You could adjust payments too suit what you can afford

Clear information and instructions. Hassle-free, no judgement and regular, appropriate contact. Can all be completed online with relative ease. Able to amend monthly payment amounts whenever required. Nearer the end of the debt, DD automatically amended to a smaller amount if monthly payments exceed the remainder. An exemplary service that I highly recommend. It gives you peace of mind and enables you to live a comfortable life whilst still in debt.

Stepchange helped me tremendously over the past years to become Debt free. They were very sympathetic and put every thing in place with my creditors very efficiently. This took a huge weight and stress off of me. I would recommend Stepchange to anyone instantly that are having financial problems.

In 2021, I was completely overwhelmed by debt and couldn’t see a way out. The stress was affecting my relationship, my sleep, my health and my day-to-day life. I felt trapped and didn’t know where to turn.

What made the biggest difference was that my budget was built around what I could realistically afford, not what creditors were demanding. From the start of my IVA, I was able to keep more of my income to cover my essential day-to-day living costs, while paying back what I could afford each month. Unsurmountable debt was driving me into a nervous breakdown or worse. I was falling apart with worry. At this remove I do not remember how StepChange appeared on the horizon. Once I made the decision to ask them for help everything changed. In no time at all I, with the help of StepChange, had come up with a repayment plan which I could afford. There is no doubt in my mind that StepChange being involved caused my creditors to accept my repayment plan. It was not easy but having excellent support from StepChange I got through it. I now feel free again and am rebuilding my family life. I am aware that most of the creditors co - operated fully with StepChange but not all.

Wow, STEPCHANGE changed my life. I couldn’t sleep at night worrying about my debt. Then it was the Halifax who suggested them. I got in touch with them, and they couldn’t have been any kinder and most helpful than I could’ve expected. I couldn’t recommend anymore. Do it! Just do it if want peace of mind. I finish paying off my debts in April. I’m never going to get into debt again. I can’t cope with the stress!! So thanks again STEPCHANGE.
