Terrible in every respect
My partner and I read these reviews before making our purchase and hoped that only the people with negative experiences took the time to write a review and not the people with positive experiences. We were also hoping our order would be an exception and not follow the pretty clear pattern outlined in other reviews, namely, delay after delay after delay. From our experience I can say do not expect to be the exception!
We made our original order in October 2018 and the estimated delivery date was the end of October. When the end of October arrived, we had not received our order nor an explanation as to why our order had not arrived. After contacting customer service they informed us that our order was delayed and should be delivered around the end of December. Ok, 2 months was something we could live with, because we did not need the furniture desperately. When the end of December arrived, we had still not received our order nor an update or explanation for the delay. After contacting customer service again they informed us that our order was delayed and should be delivered around the end of February. Ok, 2 more months was something we could live with, because again we did not need the furniture desperately and apparently we are insanely patient. When the end of February arrived, to our great surprise we had still not received our order nor an explanation as to why our order had not arrived. After contacting customer service for a third time they informed us that... yep, you guessed it, our order was delayed and should be delivered around the end of May. At this point, after 7 months of projected delays and no end in sight our near endless patience ran out and we elected to cancel the order.
Upon canceling the order we requested a refund and customer service informed us that we should receive the refund within 14 days (which is a legal requirement in the EU). It is now 24 days later and we have still not received the refund, so there is the strong possibility that we will have to initiate a Chargeback from our credit card company (yay for a simple refund process).
I can only recommend placing an order from StilArtMoebel if you plan on having the order delivered to your children after you pass away, because the delay cycle seems endless as far as we can tell.
Notes for StilArtMoebel on how you can improve the customer experience.
1. Provide realistic delivery dates, although I can understand why you do not do this, seeing no one would place orders when the expected delivery date is in the next century
2. Provide updates to your customers when delivery dates will not be met... this is pretty basic for any company operating in the 21st century
3. Provide realistic refund periods and try your best to adhere to the 14 day legally required refund period in the EU (it is a legal requirement, not a loose guideline that you can ignore if you are having a bad day)
