Terrible new management

I m extremely appalled with the way the new management team at Waldrons has treated my family.

Under the previous manager we had a clear agreement for 12 months of check-ups, hygienist appointments, and whitening treatment for our whole family. This arrangement was approved to offset approximately three years of overpayment on dental plans.

Three months before the agreed end date, the new senior management team unilaterally revoked this agreement without consultation, warning, or even basic courtesy. When challenged, they stated they would not honour the agreement because the senior team member who approved it had left. They also claimed there was nothing in writing—despite written evidence being provided. Even after supplying this evidence, their position remained unchanged.

Our family has been loyal patients at Waldrons for many years and has spent in the region of £20,000 on both routine and cosmetic treatments. We always complied fully with the agreed appointment frequency and never exceeded the terms of the arrangement.

Additionally, many of our hygienist appointments were cut short due to equipment not working, which further adds to the frustration.

Failing to honour an agreed arrangement—without consultation or warning—is, in my view, morally wrong and completely inconsistent with the standards of transparency and professionalism one would expect from a dental practice.

As a result, we will be moving to another practice and sharing our experiences for others to make informed decision

Horrific dental practice.

This is the worst practice I've ever been with. 1 star is too much but minus isn't possible. I saw a Groupon offer for Braces but it was advised that I contact the practice 1st to discuss suitability which I did. The first red flag was the Dentists eagerness to commit me to a higher priced treatment and to buy directly from them bypassing Groupon, which sadly I did. As it turned out I was not a suitable candidate for braces and had to have them removed. Horrifically the Dentist Dr Yu Chen Chang shaved off significant tooth enamel thinking it was bonding material. This was to the upper front 6 teeth which is now terribly visible. At first he and the practice took full ownership of their mistake and assured me they would rectify the situation..this was December 2023. After being harassed, insulted, delayed and more because I dared to raise a complaint I had to seek legal assistance to get resolution and in the end it was the Dental Council who made them pay the compensation which they insultingly tried to pass off as a goodwill gesture. The length of time I had to wait also meant that my teeth moved into a worse position than they were before I had come to them. This meant aligner treatment would be significantly more costly, which I'm currently receiving elsewhere. The manager Iqra is also, possibly one of the most horrible people you could ever meet. Instead of immediately rectifying the situation, between them they concocted appalling lies to hinder and retract ownership of the problem. I was a private client whom their Dr literally, negligently, damaged. It took until Summer 2024 to get resolution/compensation (mostly my own money back!) and still this issue is with the GDC for further investigation into the Dr's Yu Chen Changs ability and competence. He rushes everything and is just a ball of nervous energy. Dr Chen Chang was so distressed at what he had done immediately afterwards but I think the prospect of paying so much to repair the damage, invisalign costs and lifelong repairs that would be necessary bothered them so much so that they chose to try to sweep this under the rug as if it never happened. They did all they could to avoid taking ownership. So much deplorable gaslighting. I can't stress enough how appallingly they behaved. And this is the super condensed version of the incident.

I also had requested an official DSAR, which they completely ignored, for copies of dental records, scans etc. Aswell as a requested, sometime ago for them to stop contacting me via an official request of erasure which again they ignored. So it is no suprise that just in these last couple of months they've been emailing again. It's quite pathetic. So again I've given them a right of erasure request.
They do not care about the law, ethics or common decency. I am now left with horrendous dips where tooth matter is missing and will have lifelong dental work to fix it. Beware these are money hungry cowboys.

Honestly, I would suggest you find somewhere much safer. It is not worth the risk. You know people by how they behave when they are wrong or when things go wrong not when things are good. This company showed their true colours.

Stock Hill Dental practice (now known as Waldron Dental) please don't respond with some disingenuous apology. You didn't care one iota for the year it took for you to address the matter. I hope you've shaped up in this last year.
