Told no stock then price increase

So I ordered a lens, was given a email a few days later stating my ordered had been cancelled as they were unable to procure the stick, I gave it a few days went back on to the site and no surprise the item was available to order with a notice increase of over £80. Clearly labeled the price wrong but instead of acknowledging their mistake, lied and then jacked up the price. Just poor ethics and I'm really disappointed in the way it's been handled.

Your order was cancelled, and your credit card was never charged. Orders can be cancelled for various reasons such as discontinuation, risk assessment, and occasional pricing error etc. We do not charge your credit card when you place your order. We only capture your card payment when we are ready to ship. Orders are not considered accepted until shipped.

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. Planned a shoot and before ordering, I enquired whether I can get it the lens delivery 12-15 days in Germany and upon email confirmation I finally ordered. Somehow they couldn’t hold shipping guidelines delivery schedule to deliver in 15 days and after a month passed we found out that; DHL lost the package. Since my order 7 weeks passed, no resolution whatsoever form Digitalrev.

You placed an order for a Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens on 10th May 2023. Your order was shipped to you (Canon serial number S/N: 913792C00592AA212450002652) by DHL on 12th May 2023. It took DHL nearly two months to finally confirm that they have lost the shipment. I understand this is frustrating but we had to get a confirmation from them before sending a replacement or refund.

They finally confirmed the loss one 14th July 2023. We issued you a full refund back to your Mastercard ending 8671 on the same day.

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost! I’d been a loyal customer for years as their prices are good. However, my £5.8k camera broke after 11 months. Sony have confirmed that the card reader has broken and it wasn’t my fault yet Digitalrev are being incredibly unflexible, needing specific wording on the estimate and looks like they won’t pay the £690 repair bill. There is no way of speaking to them by phone and it feels like they’re stringing out the process on purpose to make me give in and pay myself. It’s taken 2 weeks and now they’re saying I might need to send the camera to Hong Kong. Beyond frustrating that they sell defective kit and (probably) won’t honour their warranty.

think 100 times before placing order at this store, they hold your money.
one of the worst customer service never reply you, don't by anything from these scammers, they will not return you money or even reply your email.

You placed an order for Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with 24-105mm f/4L II Lens on 29 December 2022. We NEVER actually captured your payment.

Shopify platform flagged your order as high risk. We cancelled the order and released the card pre-auth.

DigitalRev Store does NOT charge customers' credit cards until the shipment is ready to be sent out. In your case your card has never been charged, and your pre-auth was released on the same day upon the suggestion of Shopify Fraud check.

Never received a 2.3k euro order and it's been over a month now

I have ordered the new Sony 50mm lens on the 24th of December 2021. Per their disclaimer, the product is supposed to reach me between 4 to 9 days. It's been over a month and still no product. I've paid 2.3k euro for this lens. I've sent them countless emails, no reply whatsoever. They're a bunch of crooks!

I finally received my lens by early March. Your customer service department replied only after I asked for a full refund for that order. All fine in the end, but this could have been avoided with some better customer service treatment.

Very Competitive Prices

Ordering and delivery is generally very good. Prices are very competitive and I have ordered quite a few items from this company.
However, delivery is delayed, which I suspect is a UPS problem rather than Digital Rev which is why this is not a 5 star review.

Digital Rev did respond to this review and investigated. It is clear the delay was caused by UPS and "flight scheduling" problems which seem to be affecting a lot of deliveries around the world, not just from Hong Kong.
I would order again from Digital Rev.

Timewasters - 2 orders cancelled

I ordered a camera and received the confirmation email, and a pending charge was placed on my credit card. Later that day I received another email asking me to confirm the key details from the order to verify it was genuine; I'm not sure what this was supposed to prove as I was merely repeating the key details of the order, but I did what was asked. A full 2 days went by until I had a response thanking me and telling me the order had been passed to the processing team. 2 hours after that I received another email telling me the order was cancelled due to lack of stock. Well perhaps that was because you held my order up for 2 days without reserving stock for what was likely just a formality?!

I then decided to give them another chance, and having upgraded my choice of camera I ordered a different, more expensive one, plus a separate lens. Again the pending charge was successfully reserved on my credit card. However 5 days (3 working days) later I had heard nothing and the charge was still pending so I emailed asking for an update, and received a reply informing me my order had failed a risk assessment and had been cancelled.

Firstly, I have no idea why I would fail a risk assessment; there is literally nothing in my personal details, address, purchase history, etc, that is out of the ordinary or suspicious; I have barely ever so much as returned an item unwanted; the credit card charge was cleared and ready for them to receive, so I'm sceptical of this explanation.

Secondly, the communication both from and within this company is dreadful. I shouldn't have to write and ask to be told my order has been cancelled, that I held a charge on my credit card for the best part of a week for nothing (and which was only released after I my follow-up enquiry), and that I won't be receiving the items I need. They didn't even update their own systems to show the order was cancelled until I asked. You would also expect that if a company arbitrarily and without good cause decides not to honour your order that they would at least suggest that they are sorry about it, especially when you wait 5 days and have to ask to even find out about it.

Oh, and apropos of nothing, I noticed the items had gone up in price by 10% the day after I placed the order, but I'm sure that had nothing to do with them choosing not to honour my order...

I ordered the Sony Alpha A1..

I ordered the Sony Alpha A1, the order was confirmed and the money was taken. Then a day or so later, my order was cancelled, the money returned and the price of the product put up by £700+
Nice way to honor an order.

Preauthorized payments are payments that never left your account and simply held by your bank. Delighted with Digitalrev’s service, whereby it is covering the cost of a repair to my Nikon 500pf lens within 12 months of purchase by my local Nikon repair agent A. J. Johnstone in Glasgow ( Scotland). Gives me every confidence to buy from Digitalrev again.

Warranty cover

Contacted Digital Rev as a lens I had bought from them 2 months earlier had to be sent back to original manufacturers for calibration and the manufacturer had informed me that the repair was not covered under UK warranty. Digital Rev requested some info from me, which I provided. Very prompt reply confirming that the cost of the repair would be met by them, and my account was credited the same day. Whole process took just a couple of days, and Digital Rev were very good at replying to my emails. Highly recommended company
