The MKIV is an excellent controller with very good and easy to set up DAW integration (I’m a Logic user and setup was extremely easy). I’ve searched for a good controller for a long time and have finally found one I find very useable and intuitive with a good set of DAW controls that are smartly implemented. This particular size is superb for me. Enough notes to give playing flexibility when writing parts but not awkward in the small amount of space I have available. I don’t miss not having the slider controls given the advantages this size gives me The keyboard feels very nice and having the control wheels where they are works just fine. The pads also have a good feel and their velocity sensitivity is very useable. The overall build quality is great and the look stylish. The LCD while a tad on the small size is very well implemented meaning it gives a lot of well thought out information. I would highly recommend the 37 note MKIV.
