Good mic for vocals at this price range. Response is pretty decent too.

Microphone has a very clear sound, a full and natural tone. Flicking the switch doesn't cause any noise in the speakers. It's also pretty strong and can withstand being dropped and moved around a bit. I'll be getting another one.
We've been using Sennheiser for more than 35 years...never had a bad product... we use the higher end mics for vocal transparency especially since the 'bass proximity' effect found in other mics is far less obvious... less EQ required. The 835s is maybe the best bang for the buck mic to use where a silent switch is required, especially in set and forget situations where live monitoring is impractical.
Love using the mic. It has a great sound and having an off switch is fantastic.
For the money, a very good mic. A little bit poppy and some handling noise but the sound is really good for the price! I like Sennheiser gear. It always works as promised!
