I was using a SM57 for vocals, and I thought I’d try the 58 instead. It’s great! The built-in pop filter helps a lot.
My musicians are away - so we have not used them yet. It will be a few more weeks before they return.
As expected, this is an excellent dynamic microphone for recording vocals and the likes of acoustic guitar.

Classic - replaced my lost one
The SM58 is a wonderful mic for vocals, but also shines in other ways. I am using it as a hand held mic when playing chromatic harmonica. It is easy to hold and perfect where I wish to reproduce rather than modify the tone of my instrument.

The first ever "brand new" SM58, that I've ever owned, and I'm very pleased with it. A fantastic microphone for vocals, almost beyond comparison. Cannot over praise this piece of equipment
