If you are a seller take this as a dire warning.... Stay Well Clear!!!

I have started my own business and wanted to use ebay as an additional platform... Fast forward 24hrs... They have investigated me and despite providing requested evidence they say I am a risk to have as a seller. I sell greetings cards and card making kits. Biggest risk in that is a paper cut. Not a transparent company and high fees. Probably won't get money back for shop subscription so will be at a loss. Do yourself a favour and spare yourself the frustration and go elsewhere to sell... I am lost for words with my short experience.

They lie to their customers (evidenced in chat transcript)
They wash their hands of complaints - unless you want to pay international postage to send them a letter to Dublin! (no email address! funny that!)
Big company who puts profits before customer and breaks sale of goods act as well!

Ebay doesn't solve my problem

Hello .
I ordered a pair of curtains (£48)3 weeks ago.On YODEL Web site results as delivered but I never received any parcel.
The seller and delivery company didn't help me and I contacted ebay .1st agent told me that he will leave the case open until 4th of October 2021 but he didn't!!!!
Today I contacted again ebay and the agent wrote me " you wouldn't be spending
time on the chat with me if you already contacted the seller."
In my opinion this is not a good attitude. They close the case and I will never get my money back. They continuously asking me for proof.I sent the YODEL investigation email where they can see that the driver left the parcel in the house hall .Also the driver said that the house has 2 flats .
1st my house doesn't have 2 flats
2nd nobody have access to the hall
I checked all flats with blu door in my street

I will never order anything from them again .
They should guarantee your money buy I found only unprofessional people.
Please don't order from ebay !!!

Dishonest and scum dealings over and over

Again again the same thing with eBay protecting the few left power sellers and they can break the rules and eBay supports them. I bought a stainless steel water heater what supposed to come with factory fitted UK plug what did not and not even earthed at all. As well as it says the item is in the UK but the seller breaking another rule being in China to play with the selling price.
I reported the seller to eBay and the night before I can request refund eBay closed my case due to the seller put in a request against me and eBay closed the case and even withdrawn the negative feedback I gave the seller and the seller already offered me the full refund only if I withdraw the feedback and I reported it to eBay and lost out completely and I got to do the running around to send the item back when it was false before I even ordered it.
Is eBay getting money from the post office to keep the workers busy ???? Checked online and been given a fake return address by eBay but reading online you still got to send it so it shows in tracking when it arrives even when it will come back to you otherwise they will close the case and you will loose your refund completely, it stinks like our politics ! Waste of time reporting anything to ebay what will go in the end against you even closure of your account.
FROM TIME TO TIME eBay WILL ASK YOU TO TAKE LIKE A THREE MINUTES SURVEI ONLINE AND IF YOU HAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK STAY CLEAR FROM IT OR THEY WILL WATCH YOUR ACCOUNT AND ONE DAY IT WILL BE CLOSED BY THEM WITH A BULL STORY.
They told me they made a mistake withdrawing the negative feedback of the seller but that is nonsense I see it all the time and they told me they cannot put it back.

Never buy on eBay!

I hardly buy on eBay, but this time I did. My experience with this site is so bad. There is no way you can file a complaint with a customer service advisor. The sellers are crooks and to receive a refund is even worse as most of the sellers are apparently from China. In other words there is totally no return policy in place. I will never ever buy on eBay again.

Another bad experience

Another bad experience, i feel i must express my concerns. In short I purchased a mobile phone from a seller whom at the time thought was honest and trustworthy, how wrong was I. The phone turned up with a small imperfection, which I tried to remove, but with no success. Opened up a request via Ebay, and sent back the phone, bearing in mind the seller did not at the time accept the return, but in the same breath sent me a message to send back the phone and he apologised for the imperfection. The phone was successfully delivered back and i have of course proof to prove it. I then asked the seller to refund me, and surprise surprise the seller went silent. I then noticed the seller closed the request, stating that i did not like the phone and Ebay of course took his side and closed the case. So i spoke to a ebay representative named Chris, who informed me the reason why the case was closed in favour of the seller was due to the fact, whilst opening the request I wrongly selected don’t like rather than defected item. And apparently in there policy which i find very strange, that you are not allowed to send back an item, if you don’t like it, but in my case, showing photo evidence of the defected item it was clear cut. So they told me to file a request via my bank, due to the fact that they were unable to help further. So I’m left with no phone, out of pocket, and very deeply pissed off with ebay. I have no clue why ebay are so unhelpful in situations like this, when the situation is clear cut and the evidence is shown and given. I want to warn people, of the scams people pull ie Sellers and of buyers and it’s up to ebay to make the informed decision to crack down on this scammers. But i have completely no faith in ebay. The issue continues. 😡😡

eBay have not investigated a possible…

eBay have not investigated a possible fraudster/scammer properly and now my 15 year old daughter has been left out of pocket of almost £170 from a seller who used delay tactics so she misses loses her 30 day money back guarantee and has never received her purchase which she ordered in May 2021. Today I sent eBay this message as part of my appeal for them to investigate the seller further and within approximately 5 minutes ebay responded with “ you will not be receiving a refund.

(Hi I would like to request an appeal on behalf of my 15 year old daughter. I’m appealing because I feel we have been Fraudulently scammed by this seller. Based on the information the seller sent to us. There is no proof on any correspondence from the seller that proofs that the item in question was actually sent to my home address. My address and the sellers addresss doesn’t appear on anything. The tracking/ shipping numbers are different and still not evidence that the shipping/ tracking numbers in relation to my order. The seller told you there was a delay and us “due to covid, but the parcel has arrived in the U.K. closed to buyer address” again no proof that it has even been shipped or even in the U.K. as no evidence ie my address or the seller address is located on the shipping or tracking correspondence sent by the seller. In my opinion the seller has Deliberately used delay tactics as a way of preventing my daughter getting back a refund within the 30 days. And any correspondence they have sent such as shipping/tracking my not be in relation to the item my daughter purchased and my well be in relation to someone else. I would like eBay to investigate this matter further as I feel this is a case of fraud/scamming. If I’m wrong the seller should and needs to show proper evidence that the item was actually sent by the seller to our home address here in the U.K. As I repeat no correspondence from the seller proofs this.

Kind regards)

The way in which eBay treat there customers is disgusting. This possible scammer is now free to do this to someone else.

Disgusting customer service from eBay

Disgusting customer service from eBay. Returned a t shirt as not as advertised expecting a refund. Parcel was returned to me stating rejected parcel and addressee gone away. eBay are useless at trying to help. I started a live chat and was cut off as I didn’t attach documents fast enough. Seller no longer appearing on eBay. Looked on feedback and it’s happened before yet eBay still let him trade. Won’t be using again

Ebay to be avoided

Ebay seemed ok when things go smoothly but if you gets scammed or things go wrong there is no Customer service. They just say they can not do anything, take it up with your credit card company. If you put on a bad review they just remove it so all their feedback is fake. Won't be using them again!

Buying many times but if you selling throw Ebay be ready for un uderstanding bills later.
For example sold item worth 30 pounds, already provision has been taken by PayPal 1.83 pounds.
So, eBay telling that they changing 10% on them profit.
After a month receiving 12 pounds bill from Ebay, question where is this 10% ? This is nearly 50% of them profit.
Am removing all my selling stuff of them, looks greedy institution.

Sadly service going downhill fast

I have had years of good service from ebay with little fuss or real problems, but noticing a fair few scams - open ones, coming to the fore these says - it's as if ebay are just counting the dosh and not auditing the traders and selling methods anymore.. soared in the last few months.. eg postal delivery charge scams - £1000+ to deliver an item, you might if not wary miss, but biggest issue I see are postal refunds you cannot comply with - lithium batteries which in the UK should be collection only from trader.. if sent to customer in the post, violating postal rules.. and if you try or can send back, doing the same.. ebay ought to be able to auto flag this without fob offs on 'up to customer to unsure device is delivered safely'.. perhaps UK gov. needs to make it a law on lithium battery postal deliveries..? I am sure ebay will 'magically' spring into action when then known to be allowing illegal postal trades..

Given 3 out of 5 - a few short months ago it would have been 5 out of 5, if their service continues to go downhill I might be cancelling my account of 10 years. Starting to get or feel a bit risky.

Beware, eBay may slander you

Neither I nor the eBay seller could understand why ebay said the buyer had rejected my purchase.

Ebay's Saiteja, said it was a technical hitch that would take ebay hours to resolve and ebay would never tell me or the seller why ebay had slandered me and lost the seller a sale.
