I signed up for JobCopilot expecting a tool that would help streamline my job search by matching roles aligned with my experience and salary expectations. Unfortunately, the platform does not reliably filter jobs by compensation, which makes the automated applications largely ineffective for mid-to-senior level professionals.
Support suggested adjusting job titles and seniority levels as a workaround, but this does not meaningfully solve the issue. Many of the jobs presented are not aligned with realistic compensation for someone with relevant experience, which defeats the purpose of using an automation tool in the first place.
This limitation is not clearly communicated during the signup process, and it significantly impacts the platform’s practical value.
If salary alignment is important in your job search, I would strongly recommend understanding this limitation before subscribing.

Initially, I was interviewed to fulfill my purchase. The interviewer made what *seemed* to be ageist comments that stunned me. The owner made it right and asked for another chance. In the 3 weeks since the new resume was delivered, not one interview request and I have purchased additional services from Storeyline. Another service offered a free resume review and described the new resume as too generic for ATS screening. I'll update if there are any signs of life near term. The coaching services are good, but overpriced.
*I do not believe that my comments differ significantly from my original feedback. There were two conversational points which could easily be understood as ageism. Indeed the person conducting the initial encounter was late and also not prepared.

I signed up with StoreyLineresumes in July 2025. I’m in healthcare and was looking for coaching and resume rewriting. I paid $1,464 for the Executive package, which includes resume rewriting and coaching.
1. Resume - the quality was okay but I had to rewrite sections. It looked and sounded like AI. But I accepted it and moved on.
2. Coaching - the coach did NOT know my field or industry to be helpful. I met with my coach in August 2025. I was appalled! I’m in healthcare. I live in Massachusetts. You have my resume and see my background. Why give me a coach with ZERO experience, expertise and knowledge in this space? The coach kept recommending Chamber of Commerce and the United Way. These are NOT the right organizations to focus on. It made little sense. I couldn’t stomach continuing with the coaching and reached out to my network for coaching , which was 10x more helpful.
I even tried to follow up on the coach’s advice by giving myself 3-4 months. It just didn’t work.
No one followed up with me. No one asked me if I was satisfied with the services. No one even asked me whether I wanted to book additional sessions. The coach never bothered to follow up. This is A SCAM!
I contacted Storeyline for a refund of the remaining 2 coaching sessions. I got shot down and told it wasn’t going to happen. My only option was to gift the sessions to someone or move on. Why would I recommend something of poor quality to a friend?
I expected better from you guys. I thought you respected customers. I thought you provided quality services. I thought you cared.
My message to professionals: for resume, use free ChatGPT. For coaching, build your network and reach out to leaders, colleagues and friends you trust. Many are willing to pour into you for free.

I interviewed for a new position the very same day I posted the resume this team created for me! I was offered the position 5 days later. I really loved the intake process where I talked, not interviewed, about my experience and skills. The listening and attention showed in the final product, and helped me see my achievements through the eyes of others.

I’ve been following Roberta (Robynn) Storey for a while and have enjoyed her stories and insights. I finally decided to take the plunge and hire Storeyline Resumes to rewrite my resume. Although I didn’t work directly with Robynn, the team member I collaborated with (I can’t recall her name) was courteous, responsive, and incredibly helpful.
We started with a thorough interview where I shared my background, key accomplishments, and career goals. We then reviewed my experience over the past 10 years, which allowed them to craft a compelling, story-driven resume that truly highlights my strengths and narrative.
In the past, I've hired other resume writers, but it always felt like I did most of the work—they simply rewrote what I provided without adding much value. Those experiences never led to the results I hoped for. With Storeyline Resumes, however, everything changed. I started receiving multiple interviews soon after, and ultimately landed a new role that increased my annual salary by 14%. Thank you for the outstanding help and for making the transition so smooth and effective!

I worked with Robyyn Storey and the Storeyline team about two years ago to build a tailored resume, and it directly helped me land a great role at GitLab. Since then, I’ve continued using that same resume framework, the strategies I learned through Storeyline, and Robyyn’s advice shared here on LinkedIn.
I’m excited to say it helped me land my dream role: the first in-house legal hire at a tech startup, with a compensation increase of $105K from my current position.
I’m incredibly grateful to Robyyn and her team for the practical guidance, encouragement, and tools that genuinely changed the trajectory of my career.

The Searchlight program includes a professionally written resumé, new LinkedIn profile, a coach and access to "the hidden job market" because when you're applying for jobs on LinkedIn or Indeed, "you're just playing on your computer". That's the SCAM sales pitch.
PLUS, from the sales pitches posted by Robynn Storey on LinkedIn and the reality:
1. "A search strategy built for your level and industry" -NOPE!
2."Direct recruiter and leadership network access" Non-existent.
3. "We help you identify the right roles, not just available ones." Nope
4. "We show you why you're getting filtered out and how to fix it." Nope
5. "We stay involved so you're not guessing your way through interviews." Nope.
6. "Targeted outreach strategy to decision-makers and hiring authorities". Nope
7. "A personalized job search plan with built-in accountability." Nope
8."Strategic visibility where it actually matters, not job boards." Nope. (What do you call career.io? It's just another jobs aggregator site!)
9. "....concierge-level support." Bwa-hahahaha. NOPE.
A complete rip-off.
My "professionally written" resume had my name spelled wrong and attributes like "award-winning" which is not in any of the materials I provided them. A recruiter told me it looked like it was written by AI.
So they set you up with a new resumé, LinkedIn profile, assign a coach to you and then.....CRICKETS.
Believe the negative reviews you read on here. ALL TRUE.

If you’re considering this service, do thorough research and don’t rely solely on LinkedIn posts or testimonials.
I wasted hundreds of $
While they have a great pitch of service and “helpful add-ons” their predatory service is based on you fearing for looking for a job and unable to do without. The service for the cost is beyond abysmal. I wouldn’t spend this kind of money on something that does not work. And don’t get any additional services either

Sounds like I dodged a bullet. I followed Robyn Storey on LinkedIn and enjoyed the stories she would write about clients. I had been thinking of updating my resume and low and behold in October she had a post about a ‘free’ 15 minutes to chat with her if you sent your resume and a few bullet points on what you were hoping to accomplish. I did that on October 25, 2025. My appointment was scheduled for December 12, 2025. She cancelled on December 12, 2025…literally 2 hours before the meeting. No email, no notice, just cancelled on my calendar.

This company is better at fighting a refund request than providing the service. Please take the turn to read the 1 start reviewed before purchasing. I wish I did….

I made an $889 payment and cancelled shortly after — on Nov 12, 2025 — before any service was rendered. It is now Nov 18, and I still have not received a refund nor confirmation of cancellation. I made it very clear I did not wish to proceed. I’ve now contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge for “services not rendered.”
Not a good experience for me, unfortunately. Save yourself the excessive fee- it appears they just add your information to Chat GPT and spit out the results. Lots of buzz words with zero context. I gave them the opportunity to start from scratch and remedy the messy result (missing information, wrong information, etc) but they declined. Looking for a job you are at your most vulnerable so take some free advise: AI is free. Simply ask Chat GPT to build your resume and then add the posted job description. Easy as pie and free. Much, much better results without the $600 price point.
Very prompt and quick responses. I got high quality work that clearly came from those who understood how the ATSs work.
I personally think that those that paid for anything beyond the resume service thought that all the money they’d throw at the expensive packages would automatically bet them a job. Not how the world works. It’s a risk you are taking.
In my personal opinion, their resume service is the best mainly for helping you get setup such that your resume gets through ATS and gets visibility with recruiters and HMs. For everything else, in my opinion it’s not needed for those that are in a vulnerable/desperate state. Use those if you’re in a decent spot and can play the long game with the job market.

Storyline Resumes Job Placement Services: My concerns!
Is Storyline as genuine as it seems? Are vulnerable job seekers at risk of exploitation?
Here’s my experience.
In 2024, I paid about $700 for resume and cover letter services from Storyline, with promises of improved job prospects.
In early 2025, Roberta Storey, Storyline’s CEO, introduced a job placement service for Senior Executive and C-Suite clients, claiming an average placement time of 11.5 weeks. The package included career coaching, direct resume submissions to hiring managers, and other benefits. Encouraged by these promises, I paid $2,999 for the job placement service and an additional $150 for an Executive Biography Summary, totaling roughly $3,150.00
More than six months later, beyond the guaranteed window, I have not received a job offer or evidence that my resume was sent to hiring managers. My attempts to resolve this with Storyline have resulted in delayed or absent responses, and I’ve requested a fair refund if commitments are not met. They have denied me access to their Linked account and no further communication from them.
I kindly ask Storyline Resumes to keep their promise or refund me fairly. As at time of writing, I have not been contacted by Storyline Resumes.
These people talk a great game and then fall completely flat. I’ll give them some credit for an interesting new approach to writing some of my resume which is why I’m giving two stars. After that process, they add no value and just shine you on. The “support” person never responds in a timely manner, talks around your requests for help and even gaslit me once about an email exchange.
The career “counseling” post resume is effectively non existent despite what they tell you during the sales process. They make it sound all mystical and I got zero leads or introductions based on the single meeting they offered. That entire part of the program is a sham.
They never even acknowledged my repeated requests for some kind of financial recompense so I finally disputed 2/3s of the charge with AmEx. (Who immediately approved it which tells me they’ve seen this before)
I really wish I had seen these reviews before spending money with Storeyline Resumes. Save yourself the trouble—and your money—you’ll get far better results using ChatGPT. The salesperson gives a convincing pitch, but the writers? Absolutely clueless. All they did was take my existing resume and shuffle things around. For the price they charge, that’s unacceptable. The worst part is you don’t even get to interview the writers to ensure they have the expertise you’re paying for.
I had a great experience with Storeyline Resumes. I had my resume revamped and that included an ATS version along with a fancy formatted version, a cover letter and they rewrote my LinkedIn page. Once I started using the ATS version I received 4 interviews. So glad I invested in myself to update everything.
This is very much not a bespoke service. It’s touted as one, the initial interview seems incredibly friendly, but once you sign up and pay it becomes very informal and cookie-cutter. My interviewer told me not to answer anything outside the scope of her questions, and when I tried to elaborate on something she interrupted each time. Upon receipt of the first draft it was clear they knew nothing of my industry and did not research it. They avoided industry specific verbiage for generalities that did me no good.
By the end I paid for an extremely expensive resume template that I populated myself, which happens to be remarkably similar to the default template in Word.
