Just social media poor map userbility
For what it has in terms of social it lacks in actual practical mapping and pre planning routes. Not worth paying for for myself but different strokes for different folks.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service! Got charged randomly for strava premium when I cancelled my membership well over a year ago, (I triple checked it wasn’t an auto-renewal) and when I’ve questioned them, they have just ignored me
Distance always incorrect
Ive tried to give this app the benefit of the doubt when measuring a distance of a run but it is always incorrect.
Most recently it measured a simple 3k run as 750m.
Not good at all.
No idle warning/high battery usage
The app uses quite a bit of battery. And this is particularly annoying when you forget to stop your activity in the app. It slurps up your whole battery over night, causing you to wake up with a dead phone. I would expect that I should not be too difficult to build in an automatic stop function? or a message to remind you that it is still running? or just lower usage of energy.

The most user-unfriendly app ever!
Downloaded the app. It looks good with all the stats and etc until I tried to set up a cycling route using only bridleway path (traffic free). After over a hour of trying and a couple of youtube videos, I gave up. The app is user-unfriendly. It is simply not designed for ordinary people. May be only for elite runners! Save your money. I did it on googlemap and its free!

Recently subscribed, wish I hadn't after the recent 'upgrade'. I hate what they've done, particularly with regard to the photo montage. Every pic has a save route banner - why? It's not obvious how to include a caption, now requires two steps- why? Followers would not intuitively access the photographic dialogue - why? The upgrade is clumsy, amateurish and poorly conceived. You have to ask who are these app developers? Interference for the sake of interfering. Strava need to consider the old adage 'if it ain't broke don't mend it'. I've just requested a subscription refund, this isn't what I subscribed to.

I genuinely enjoy using Strava—it’s a solid platform with great features. But wow, their customer support is an absolute disaster.
I recently upgraded to a paid family subscription, which promises that I can add family members living in the same country. Sounds simple, right? Well, not for Strava. Their flawed algorithm randomly assigns my kids—who live under the same roof as me—to foreign countries, making it impossible to add them. And guess what? There’s no manual way to fix this. Instead, I have to rely on their non-existent support team.
I’ve been waiting four weeks (yes, an entire month of a paid subscription) with zero actual response apart from a bot message. For a company that thrives on community and engagement, Strava’s complete disregard for paying customers is laughable.
Great app, but if something goes wrong, good luck—you’re on your own.

Subscription cancellation mechanism not working and none existent support means I'm either going to have to cancel credit card to avoid further payments being taken, or report as an unauthorized transaction after to get money back.
Avoid at all costs
Did not want this subscription. Cannot cancel it, cannot get a refund and cannot contact anyone to do anything about it. Locked into a years worth of something that I do not want.

Absolute terrible experience. I tried to gift my husband a Strava subscription for Christmas and I am still awaiting for it to be activated. I did not receive a confirmation email nor did my husband receive any link to activate it and the money left my account. I have tried to contact customer services with zero luck and being told there was no subscription bought! Absolutely nonsense as I have a bank statement to prove it! So frustrated and so disappointed. I am still awaiting a response for an answer on what is going on!! 😞

Bugs and cheaters, this is Strava. As one of the fittest person in Luxembourg, I see so many inacrurate pace times imposssible to achieve or wrong distances. No Bot can detect them? come one! And they send so many notifications even if you don't want them. American app....

Consistently inaccurate pace times and distances. Dozens of runs ruined half way by a ridiculously high or low pace times. Shockingly poor.

Tried a trial like others here and cancelled the subscription, as I don't use it enough. Still took the annual subscription of £54.99.
Complained to apple, who must be part of the scam, because they decline any refund request.
Looks like it will be taken every year now with no way of cancelling, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, just don't risk it.
