Worst customer service on planet earth

Worst customer service on planet earth.

Just the worst customer service you will ever have to deal with. It's not only the worst, but also the slowest. They will lie to get you to pay more. I'm never staying in another Strawberry hotel ever again.

A new level of abusive, heinous behavior

I wish I could give them negative ten stars. This utterly abusive, offensive chain promised you would getvpoints for stays. Then they illegally and without adequate notice eliminated the program after the fact and refused to honor the points. This is beyond offensive behavior and fraudulent. I would never trust these people with anything. The hotels are also overpriced, lack soundproofing and are terribly run. Stay anywhere else.

Do Not Stay at Strawberry Hotels

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We travelled from Australia and stayed at 2 strawberry hotels so far. We will be cancelling our upcoming booking with this company. Obviously cost cutting at the expense of customers. Too many to list. Given they now have a monopoly in Scandinavia they can afford to provide sub standard accommodation disguised as luxury. Do not stay at a Strawberry hotel you will find much better quality elsewhere.

Ripped off programme - not good loyalty program

I used this credit card as loyalty hotel card. I am a gold member. However, within the last year Strawberry has made alot of changes that negatively affects its loyal customers.

The hotel prices offered at the Strawberry members website are now much higher then the once one can find on other hotel booking sites (up to 30USD higher per night). The small added value "treats" to Gold membership have become much less. The hotel prices are flucuating quite alot, so one may book the room for 1 price but upon arrival get a higher price because Strawbery has started to use "mobil prices", meaning they can strew up the prices upon my hotel arrival despite my booking at a lower price and demand more money. That is just redicuous.

As as Gold member I feel that I am literally being ripped off and not rewarded for my loyalty. I will be leaving by the end of my membership this year and will find another loyalty programme.

Spenn loyalty program is nothing more…

Spenn loyalty program is nothing more than a scam. I recently got their credit card cause they seemed to have good deals on their app but now they refuse honoring those points for my purchase.

Do not waste your time with them.

Ridiculous service

Arrive 1 min past 22:00 in Clarion Energy Stavanger and you will sleep on an rmpty stomack. No room service, no snacks, poor service, Ridiculous for a hotel of this size, located in a semiindustrial area with no nearby alternatives. Not returning. Kind regards Mr real bad ambassador.

Awful & unhelpful

Awful & unhelpful. We have been a bouncing ball for months between Home Hôtel Bryggen (part of Strawberry Hotels) and Booking.com - neither willing to take action or make a decision to refund us €1,000. This is a lot of money for retirees and has dented any future travel plans for us. Each organisation palms us off to the other. Booking.com keep asking for the same information via their customer service and then it falls into a very deep black hole. Home Hotel Bryggen which pocketed the money, simply refer the matter back to Booking.com - so easy for them to ignore our plight. Never again will I be using either nor recommend to other fellow travellers.

Avoid Strawberry hospitality properties

I joined this loyalty program because I had been a Choice member for years. Have stayed in a number of the properties around Scandinavia. I made an error and booked 2 nights in CHP airport on a no refund basis, through the Strawberry app, which I wasn't aware of. I also had a hotels.com booking which I had made earlier. My flights have changed so much from Greenland, I didn't realise I had double booked 1 nt at Comfort CPH. Explaining to Strawberry my error in double booking 1 nt, 24 hours prior to check in, they refused to refund me the night. So frankly they can put their loyalty program and hotels, where the sun doesn't shine. The airport hotel at CPH offers no room service, no make up of room for less than 4 nights which I wasn't aware of staying 2 nights, the staff are overworked with insufficient staff on reception and customer service desk. To top it off, I was in need of the airport police station and stressed, and the reception staff member directed me back into the airport to find the information desk and ask there. 20 minutes later, having found the station it was literally a 2 minute walk back to the Comfort Hotel. The staff are not even trained in basic knowledge of essential service locations. This Strawberry business has no professional approach to looking after its loyalty members, yet I hear the staff promoting to join Strawberry membership to guests checking in. I recommend not to join or use this hotel business. They won't help you when you are stuck or make a mistake because it's the rules. There are other hospitality chains to join that really do value customer memberships and go out of their way to look after you no matter the situation. I've been travelling for 5 months through 11 countries in Scandinavia and Europe and more cities than I can count. This
is the only terrible hotel experience I've had. I will never book a Strawberry property again.

They don't care about you

During my first stay, they had a promo, which promised 5000 points for registering to squeeze.no membership and using it for 6 months. So I registered to 6-months subscription. However, they removed it silently 2 months after I registered, and they refused to give me those points after 6 months, even it was promised during the time of my registration. I mean, it's definitely unfair, but I've stayed in Strawberry hotels 25 nights during those 6 months. 25, they don't care about their customers. I had planned bookings for another 20 nights for next few months. They don't care even about loyal customers, they won't care about you as well.
New bonus points system Spenn is joke. As a gold member (30+ nights) you have basically no benefits. I got 0 points for my last paid 4-nights stay. And last showcase how much they care - previous points system, they shortened points validity time to just 1 year, and you can't use them unless you collected enough points for bonus night. It's impossible to convert them to Spenn, or convert them to some reasonable discount. You can get only gift card on terrible exchange rate.

I have used strawberry since 2020 an…

I have used strawberry since 2020 an reached platinum almost every year and the bonus points have been absolutly amazing but afther they switched to (spenn) it's not the same case. I know that spenn is In it's starting phase but how it's goiing so far it's a big downgrade from the bonuspoints. May have to switch to another hotel chain.

I have booked and booked and it won’t…

I have booked and booked and it won’t go through, have tried chat, thrown out, called and bounced between 3 people. Taken hours of my life trying to book one night. Told it was me not their website/ app my phone, my card. None true cause it’s Black Friday and it’s been well tested on other sites.never again staying at strawberry. The hotels have many times been of poor quality over last years, twice been moved hotel with no warning. Goodness what a mess of a hotel chain. The new spenn is a disaster and stripping us of level and points is a disgrace. So sad cause once, years back clarion was great.

My Strawberry Experience

Started a new job needing to travel around Scandinavia. Stopped at a Strawberry hotel in Finland and loved it. Decided to use Strawberry for other visits but the experience has been terrible. I booked 2 rooms in Drammen, Norway only to find that they cancelled the room the day I arrived because they overbooked! They booked us in a nearby Scandic hotel but it was no where near the standard i expected. Very poor and I won’t be searching for Strawberries in future!

Strawberry not helpful!

I booked a room for 3 people at Clarion Hotel in Helsinki, Finland, and was told that it was the Clarion attached to the airport. I arrived on Friday, July 19 around 4:00 pm to check in and was told by the Check-In desk that I was booked at the Clarion in downtown Helsinki. This was in error and asked for assistance to transfer the reservation from Clarion downtown to Clarion Airport, they were of no help. My son contacted the Clarion downtown and cancelled the reservation there as soon as we were informed. My daughter Kristy Bell, made a reservation at the Clarion Airport Hotel so we would have a room for the night. I was extremely disappointed that we received no assistance and were on our own. We received a email saying that the room at Clarion downtown was cancelled, but we would not be receiving a refund as it was less that 24 hours. We couldn't have done anything sooner as we did not know the problem with 2 Clarion hotels. With there being a language barrier problem not speaking Finn, made this even more of an issue. I would not use Strawberry again as they were misleading as to acknowledging our cancellation but later denying a refund. Very disappointed!

The worst customer service I've…

The worst customer service I've experienced

Dear Mr. Peter Stordalen, have tried to find a common solution with Hotel Post in Gothenburg.

I made a mistake in booking the wrong date (same night 13/14 may) it was my mistake, I contacted the hotel in less than 5 min. No refund was possible 4000 SEK lost

I even booked a new date 19-21 may and we have been discost again and again and it ended up that the hotel cancled my booking on the 19 may 12:00 when I was on the way to your hotel.

I would like to talk to a manager that can show me some good service.
