Great sofas and support

We've had our Stressless sofa for almost 10 years. Unfortunately, we recently ran into an issue with one of the glide rails that had worn through use. After a few quick emails with their support team, they shipped us a replacement part, and the sofa is once again as good as new.

Fantastic service

Our stressless is about 20 years old and still in excellent condition apart from the clamps that can lock the chair in position. I contacted Stressless and they swiftly sent new clamps without cost. Hopefully the chair can be used for another 20 years now :)

I bought a Stella sofa with a chaise longue in dark blue leather. The sofa is comfortable and easy to clean. So far, I am satisfied with it

It is not the same Ekornes brand as it was 15 years ago.

I just received a brand new Ekornes Stressless Mary living room set with Cori leather from SL Recliners store and it is not the same beautiful furniture as on the website pictures.

All of the sewing lines are not straight, like a worker was drunk or first day on the job.
No matter if the line needs to be straight or curved, the person just hasn't followed the pattern at all.

It looks like the furniture came from an affordable warehouse store, definitely NOT from Ekornes brand with over $15,000 of "quality".

I am looking at my almost 16 year old Stressless Paradise set with much higher build quality ready to sell and I don't know which set I want to sell now.

Beside an off-pattern line which causes uneven wrinkles or asymmetrical lines throughout the set I got unsecured leather underneath the armrests from day one.

I can hire a handyman from Craigslist to redo & finish the staples job underneath but I can't fix the sewing lines.

It is not the same Ekornes brand as it was 15 years ago.

terrible customer service

I contacted Ekornes as we need some spare parts for our modular sofa. They were extremely unhelpful and told me they did not carry any spares, that they all had to be ordered from a dealer.
I explained there was no dealer near us, but they were less than helpful.
We spent 20,000 Euros on the furniture. Their customer service is appalling.

Very disappointed, not worth the money

We wanted a sofa that would last us 25+years as the old one did. We only got rid of that one as looking a bit worn and partner wanted a leather sofa instead. We spoke to the stores assistants on several occasions at long length before making our decision. We bought a 3 seater high back Ekornes sofa in a light caramel colour (no kids or pets). We paid extra for Stainguard Insurance cover.
The first 2 months the sofa was wrapped up as we were still decorating when it arrived. Within months we noticed a slight ' bluing' on leather and noticed it was starting to look slack on the seat cushions. Having used the appropriate Ekornes cleaner products the 'bluing' became more noticeable. Having contacted Stainguard for advice on cleaning they said it was ingrained dye transfer from our clothes and could not do anything about it. We complained to the Store. Ekornes sent an Engineer who said dye transfer was normal as well as puddling effect on leather. We involved Ombudsman who has just determined in favour of the Store as Stainguard and FIRA say it's normal and our complaint was outside 6 month time period as it had been 12 months. Prior to purchasing sofa we asked what Erkones was like and they said sofa in store was 3 years old (which looked great considering the wear it must have had in that time) and they had never had any complaints. At no time we're we advised that wearing clothes ( we don't wear jeans) would cause irreversible dye transfer and normal sitting causes puddling!! I am disabled and am the only one using the sofa; I sit on an alternative seat every day so as to keep an overall usage so it doesn't have a lot of wear and tear (I am not a heavy person). Our 1 year old sofa looks older than the one I had had for 25+years and adding insult to injury had cost us over £2,250.00. Don't waste your money.

EKORNES warning – do not invest in EKORNES furniture.

I have an EKORNES Stressless chair where the seat is broken. It is the springs in the seat that is broken.

ERKONES furniture is very expensive and can be separated into parts. But EKORNES cannot or will not supply spare parts for its furniture. When you go to EKORNES with your problem, EKORNES only encouraged you to buy a new Stressless chair. EKORNES are totally unwilling to help and cannot or will not provide you with solutions, how to get your chair repaired.

ERKONES cost much, much more than similar furniture from IKEA, but as you cannot get spare parts for your ERKONES, so this EKORNES furniture becomes very expensive discount furniture, where customers are led to believe, by EKORNES false marketing, that they have purchased classic style furniture, which will last for years and years to come.

My call to all that wants to buy EKORNES furniture must be – not to invest in EKORNES furniture. EKORNES equals to no service and absolutely no help – as EKORNES charge good customers an awful lot of money.
