Illusion of quality gone

We bought a “Mary”recliner 3 seater couch to go with our 2 recliners, sadly very disappointed.
Firm seems to have dismissed comfort issues, saying “filling” is to speck, but we feel as if we are sat on metal of mechanics.
The couch cost £4400 in sale, is now a very expensive ornament as too uncomfortable to sit on.
I didn’t expect replacement and would be willing to contribute to cost of more filling but are they interested the answer is NO,
So disappointed as have wanted Stressless for years and now that we have it the bubble has burst.

BEWARE the false promise of a lifetime guarantee…

BEWARE the false promise of a lifetime guarantee. There are certain brands that really should know how to behave correctly in a genuine case of grievance. Instead, we get the standard customer service nonsense.

Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to learn about the issue with leather surface. Please know that leather is vulnerable to exposure to oils from direct contact with human skin (especially of the neck and hands), but this is not a warranty issue. There is a 1-year warranty on the Stressless leather, as any manufacturing Fault will show in the first 12 months.

Certain cosmetics and body care products contain solvents and oils. These products are not beneficial to leather, as they may weaken the leather finish over time, and you should avoid using your leather furniture with wet hair or with freshly applied hair care products or cosmetics.

It is also important to follow the proper maintenance regime, by using the Stressless Cleaner and apply the Protection cream every 6 months. Please know that Ekornes disclaims all liability if you maintain your leather furniture with other products than Stressless® Leather Care.

We would advise you to contact the retailer where the chairs were purchased, as the Contract of sale was made with them. Your Stressless dealer has all your order details needed for any inspection/repair and they need to agree for us to get involved.
