Overpriced, lift is always broken, even on the day of the move we had to lug all our stuff up 5 floors! I felt sorry for those on the 11th floor! It takes ages to fix and then breaks down again - constantly broken! If you are on floors 3 to 11, makes it very inconvenient. Hot water stopped working in the winter from Jan and was not fixed until Feb, rooms are ok, the only positive is the ensuite, it is very small and has NO bathroom storage. Clean room, kitchen facilities within room too although no proper oven, just a microwave which means you cannot do any oven cook. I would not pay to live here again as it is not value for money, find other better value accommodation!

I have lived in both Northgate Studios and Northgate Point in Chester and have recently just left upon completion at University and I have had positive experiences in both!

I’d like to give recognition to Isabel the receptionist as she is really lovely and welcoming and she always helps with whatever any person living in the buildings needs and is professional, including Mike the maintenance person who is also really friendly and helpful whenever a job needs sorting in the rooms!

I have loved my time living at both buildings, it is very student friendly with your own amenities such as your own bathroom and kitchen which makes the student living experience even more positive and luxurious! As well as this, the buildings are very clean due to good maintenance as well as being modern.

I've had countless experiences with block managers over the years, and unfortunately, almost all of them have been extremely disappointing. A few weeks ago, Student FM took over the management of the building where I own a unit in Sheffield, and I was unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised by the quality and attention of the service they provide. Not only are they highly knowledgeable, but they’ve also been incredibly responsive to every single request I’ve made — from the simplest to the most complex.

The level of transparency in both management and communication is something I had never experienced before, and I genuinely found it moving.

I’d like to give special recognition to Gemma Patterson, who has demonstrated outstanding professionalism and a level of support far above the industry standard. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank her publicly.

If you're reading this and considering appointing Student FM as your block manager, I can confidently say you won’t regret it.

I was in the Metropolis in Newcastle under Lyme accommodation for a year as a student and have had very bad experiences relating the maintenance in this accommodation. There is only 1 lift for the 11 floors in the building and it has broken down twice in span of 4 months. It was broken for 2 weeks in Nov/Dec and then it broke for 2 months from April-June. It has been a nightmare having to deal with this and residents have found it very difficult. Other maintenance issues in general are extremely slow to be fixed, if they even are. Wouldn't recommend staying here.
