Totally Disrespectful

I just got off the phone with a gentleman from this company after an initial phone call to discuss their services. The guy I spoke with was very aggressive, disrespectful and didn't want to honor the price I was quoted when I scheduled the conference call. I would Never do business with this company

Extremely Disappointed No deliverables, No accountability.

Extremely Disappointed – No Deliverables, No Accountability
We are a nonprofit foundation that hosts a major music festival—run largely by high school students—so every dollar we spend must directly support our mission. That’s why we were excited to partner with the Student Marketing Agency, whose model claimed to provide real-world marketing experience through students enrolled in or having completed marketing courses. This aligned perfectly with our values, and we were hopeful this would be a meaningful and mutually beneficial collaboration.
Unfortunately, this experience has been nothing short of disappointing and unprofessional.
Since our initial conversation in March, we have received no deliverables from the team assigned to Phase I of our marketing plan. I have had to repeatedly follow up, chase down team members (especially Stephen), re-upload materials, and try—unsuccessfully—to get clarity from Roberto on the social media strategy that was supposed to launch May 1st.
Despite multiple assurances that things were “in motion,” nothing tangible was produced. Our goals, direction, and launch timeline were clearly communicated from the beginning and remained unchanged. Yet no one on their team moved forward with implementing any part of the plan.
Out of concern, I scheduled a call with Kevin, who confirmed what I feared—very little had been done, aside from a couple of vague video posts using our content (which I have still never seen). More troubling was Kevin’s inability to explain how anything could have been created without a solid understanding of our objectives.
We’ve worked with many student-led teams and marketing professionals over the years. We understand learning curves. But this was not a learning curve—it was a complete lack of follow-through, accountability, and basic professionalism. Our festival’s May 1st launch was time-sensitive, designed to build momentum leading into the event. This missed opportunity has placed our ticket sales and outreach efforts at risk.
To date, we’ve paid $503.07 with absolutely nothing to show for it:
• 3/18 – $275.60
• 4/16 – $150.37
• 4/18 – $77.10
Finally, we were forced to send a termination email to Trevor—and to date, we have heard nothing in response. The silence only underscores the lack of professionalism we’ve experienced throughout.
This experience has been frustrating, stressful, and incredibly disappointing. We cannot recommend the Student Marketing Agency, and we sincerely hope they re-evaluate their internal systems before taking on additional clients.

This is a SCAM agency working under the umbrella of STUDENTS to get you on board. They claim they are doing something for you when actually the only thing they are good at is billing! They hind behind you can only contact them via their site or emails, you have to make an appt to even speak to them about anything to avoid transparancy and responsibility. I never saw anything but a bill. Do not trust them DO NOT use them do not believe anything they say its all LIES! Buyer beware is an understatement!!!

This agency took over $4,000 from me starting in October 2024 for website development and digital marketing. I received no website updates, no drafts, and no deliverables. I was bounced between multiple team members, asked to repeat the same steps, and ultimately told to pay more for a new hosting service that they benefit from.

When I asked for a payment breakdown or progress, they stopped responding.

Avoid this company at all costs. It’s a scam targeting small business owners and licensed professionals. I’m pursuing legal action and reporting them to every agency I can.

This agency took over $4,000 from me, and now their lawyer is threatening me for telling the truth.

I hired Student Marketing Agency in October 2024 for website development and digital marketing. Over several months, I paid more than $4,000 I received no completed drafts, NO website design, or NO deliverables. Despite repeated requests, I was given excuses and asked to repeat the same steps with multiple team members. Eventually, I was told to pay even more for a new hosting platform they preferred — and then communication ceased.
I asked for a full refund. They offered a partial refund of $1,200, which I declined. I then submitted complaints to the BBB, Trustpilot, and American Express.
In response, their attorney sent me a cease and desist letter, threatening legal action unless I remove my review — simply for sharing my honest and documented experience. This is not just unethical; it's a clear attempt to silence consumer feedback.
I have extensive documentation: email threads, payment receipts, screenshots, phone logs, and evidence showing that no work was completed. The threats from their lawyer, instead of resolving the issue, have made it clear they care more about optics than accountability.

⚠️ Avoid this company. They target small business owners with lofty promises, underdeliver, and retaliate when held accountable.

I’m standing by my review. I have a First Amendment right to tell the truth, and I encourage others to speak up. I am actively pursuing this through formal legal and consumer protection channels.
