Dirty
all my washing stuff was gone, food gone, some decorations gone, my sheets and pillows were dirty when they came back, mix shoes and clean towels so that I can't use the towels

Unfortunately, as stated in our terms & conditions, we cannot pack items such as cleaning products, food & liquids. This is to avoid and of your other belongings being damaged during storage.
With regards to decoration, if we are instructed in advance, during the video call or it clearly belongs to the individual & not the University we will pack these items. The last thing we want to do is pack the Universities belongings and for the student to receive a bill for these items.
We packed all belongings , seal & labelled boxes while in each room to ensure nothing can fall out and become dirty such as bedsheets/ pillows etc.
Our first priorities are to pack to a high standard and hygienically. We are also keen to pack efficiently & space saving as possible to avoid any further costs for students.
We do pack shoes with other items as for transporting the box needs to be packed out and not have any loose items within.
If the shoes were dirty this would not be the case, but assuming as we have not heard anything from you directly the towels were not damaged.
We will of course, as with any review, ensure to reinstate with our team to ensure it does not occur in the future.

They packed most of my stuff and it was well packed, however there was a lot of stuff they failed to pack (which was very upsetting as some had a lot if sentimental value) they also did not pack my pillows even though I specifically asked them too.
If you use this storage company make sure to have them send you a picture of the empty room to ensure they got everything

I'm sorry to read that a couple items were not retrieved including your pillows.
This year our team were working under a tremendous amount of pressure trying to pack as many students rooms as we could to ensure the Universities did not discard of all items for some students that were unable to pack themselves. However, I understand this is no excuse.
The video calls we arrange are to benefit yourselves as well as our staff so we can pack rooms as if you were packing yourself.
If we are made aware of particular items in advance we ensure these are packed first.
This is the first we have been made aware of the issue so we will be looking into the matter further.

Student Storage Experts were recommended to me by my University since due to the Corona Pandemic I was unable to move out of my accommodation as I had already left the UK in a hurry. I contacted the company, explained my situation to them and was offered very helpful and friendly advice, a very reasonable rate for the storage of my belongings and also much help and support when it came to freighting my suitcase all the way to mainland Europe. The company is very flexible and willing to help and I would really recommend anyone who is moving - regardless of internationally or just cross-country - to get in touch with Student Storage Experts! Their website offers a lot of information and is very easy to use and to receive a reasonable quote, I’d suggest to contact them directly by email - they tend to be very responsive and quick! Students in Leicester really should go ahead and use this company as it is trustworthy and very helpful and I can guarantee a positive experience! Personally, I will definitely reach out to them again in the future!
