They need to fix their document section. I paid 20 dollars and now canceled my subscription because they are taking far too long to fix their maintenance issue.

SCAM Tutoring/ Homework Site

Study pool demands that tutor applicants write 3 (200-500) word essays to apply, then upload a Real I.D, (mine was a passport)….then they NEVER respond to your emails!!!!! A few weeks ago, I did get a response saying they have lots of applicants & that they’d get back to me in 24-72 hours. Plus, they have a scam number on the Internet 1 (888) 706-6051.

I signed up for Studypool as a tutor

I signed up for Studypool as a tutor, but I regret doing so. Despite my repeated attempts to contact them via email, I never received any response regarding my concerns. I submitted sensitive information, including my picture, CNIC, and signature, but I was unable to find an option to permanently delete my account or data. The only available option was to disable the account, which does not guarantee the removal of personal data from their servers.

Their lack of customer service, unresponsiveness, and failure to address important data protection concerns make me very uncomfortable using their platform. I would not recommend Studypool to anyone, especially those concerned about privacy and data security.

Absolute Scam – Deceptive Practices and Exploitative Behavior

Studypool is nothing short of a scam. This platform thrives on exploiting both tutors and students alike, offering a facade of professionalism while engaging in some of the most deceitful practices I've ever encountered.

As a tutor who has dedicated countless hours to helping students, I’ve had my earnings unjustly withheld by Studypool with baseless accusations of "fraudulent activity." When I dared to express my dissatisfaction and seek clarification, not only did they ignore my inquiries, but they also deleted my hard-earned badges as a form of retaliation. This is not just unethical—it’s malicious.

The level of favoritism on this platform is appalling. They assign questions to specific tutors, regardless of whether those tutors are competent or even active. This favoritism results in subpar service for students, who are often left with low-quality work because Studypool insists on prioritizing outdated badges over actual skill and performance.

Their customer support is non-existent. They hide behind vague responses and refuse to address legitimate concerns. Meanwhile, they continue to milk money from both students and tutors with outrageous fees and hidden charges. To add insult to injury, they keep billing your accounts even after cancellation and refuse to refund unauthorized charges.

Studypool is a textbook example of how NOT to run a business. Their practices are not just shady—they're criminal. This platform is a scam, and it should be shut down before it can take advantage of more unsuspecting users. Avoid Studypool at all costs. They don't deserve your time, your money, or your trust.

This tutoring platform has favorism

This tutoring platform has very annoying moderators; they do not respond to you. Second, the platform has favoritism, where they assign questions to a particular tutor, so I would not recommend that you become a tutor on this platform. Another thing is that Studypool will give you a refund even if it is the student's mistake, even if they guide you well on what to do. this is a trash platform. To you students who want to send questions, the platform may not give you what you want; most of them are given to specific tutors who are incompetent. This is because they give tutor based on their badges even if they were given that badge 10 years ago, making you work low quality.

Remove any bank details

Ensure you remove any bank details from your account after cancelling. I cancelled back in Aug2023 (email confirmed too) after graduating and was charged again in July 2024. Customer services would not help and wouldn't provide me any assistance as it was past the 72 hour time frame for a refund, even though I had proof. It was charged 7/5 but didn't post till 7/9 due to the 4th of July holiday. Okay service, lousy customer support. 1 Star because they charge my card after cancelling.

There is also a service fee now and even if you somehow make some money from your notes, you cannot with draw any funds due to the high cost. ACH is 3.5%.

If you are thinking of applying to bea tutor

If you are thinking of applying to be a tutor just don't. I haven't see na bigger scam than this. First they make you do some "writing work" then after you submit, they will not usually reject you but tell you that :
Thank you for applying to be a tutor.
Due to a recent excess in tutor applications, your application will be pending approval at this time. We will follow up when there is more demand for tutors.

Even after 2 months you will not be accepted.
