Been using Submagic now for a year and…

Been using Submagic now for a year and it has blown me and my team away. The customer support is phenomenal. They get back to you quickly and every video we do comes out with quality compared to other software that we've used. We rarely need to do edits and when we do it's usually for style more than it is the AI itself

Great customer service

I'm really happy with their customer service ! I was stock with some feature I couldn't remove from my videos.

Crap! Their API does not allow you to edit…

Their API does not allow you to edit captions, or to move b-roll, or to move or edit footage. They are completely misleading about what their product can do. I paid full price so I could use their API access, and it basically does nothing other than lets you upload video via API. They do not have a refund policy, so the only way to figure out that the product doesn't work is to pay money and then not have it work.

I’ve been using Submagic for about 2…

I’ve been using Submagic for about 2 years now and honestly it’s been one of the best tools in my video workflow.

What I like the most is that the tool keeps improving. They constantly add new features and updates instead of leaving the product the same. The chat support is also great.

Recently I had a small issue and couldn’t figure something out. Stefan from the support team replied almost immediately and helped me solve it quickly.

I work with video for clients, and I actually recommend Submagic to all of them. In my opinion it has the best-looking and most accurate subtitles, plus a lot of customization options that make the videos look much more professional.

Annual Plan Cancellation, Refund Not Processed

Purchased an annual subscription and cancelled within hours after evaluation. No exports were generated and no commercial use was made.

During testing (two short edits of the same ~50 second draft for evaluation only), the platform was slow and buggy and did not suit my workflow.

The only response received stated that if the product was accessed even briefly, no refund would be issued.

In my experience, many established SaaS platforms allow reasonable evaluation flexibility when no commercial use has occurred. This policy felt unnecessarily rigid given the circumstances.

Refund has not been processed. After the initial reply, further follow-up emails have received no response.

Sharing this so others understand the refund position and support responsiveness before committing to an annual plan.

'After escalation and public response, the refund has now been processed.

I appreciate Stefan reviewing the case and resolving it.

That said, I believe the situation could have been resolved earlier without requiring public escalation.

The initial refund handling and responsiveness were disappointing, but the matter has now been addressed.'
