Esim card bought and payed but never received

I bought online an esim card for my girlfriend and payed it with my creditcard but the QR code never appeared, so I gave her the payment confirmation. She went to the stand on the airport in Santiago but they wouldn't or couldn't give her a SIM card and told her to go to an ETESCA shop. She did but they told her to go back to the airport. She did that but still they couldn't or wouldn't do anything for her.
I sent a mail via the contact link on the website but never got any reaction
Very bad service.

Esim did not work

My husband bought the most expensive esim and I the second most expensive. They never worked on Cuba. Did not have reception anywhere. Just a scam.

We are sorry to read your review and understand your frustration. However, it is important to clarify the facts. You purchased a different product than the one you actually needed (Nauta Plus, which requires activation on the www.nauta.cu
portal), and not Nauta Hogar Plus.

Your order was processed and delivered correctly, as we explained in multiple email exchanges. For that reason, a refund could not be issued for a service that was properly fulfilled.

Despite this, you filed a claim with your bank and already received your money back. Therefore, stating that you paid for “something that doesn’t work” is misleading and not accurate.

At SuenaCuba, we always strive to support our customers and provide clear guidance, but it is also important to be fair: a correctly delivered service should not be considered a fraud.

Only negative: dealing with ETECSA is a big mistake, it is not a trusted company, like you. I bought the modem and it brought me a lot of difficulties. Currently it is not working.

Did not get a SIM at airport

I paid 34.99$ for a sim card to be picked up at the Varadero airport upon arrival. They even asked for the arrival date to have the card ready then. When I came to the airport the Cubacel stand was there deserted with nobody in attendance and no information where to go next. I had to leave the airport without the SIM card. The next day I tried an ETECSA office in Havana to retrieve the SIM card. They had a computer problem and couldn't do it so I spent my whole trip without the SIM card. I did not get to write their customer support until after my trip but was happily surprised by their prompt response and refund.

It's a ripoff for uninformed tourists…

It's a ripoff for uninformed tourists that I feel for, too. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

They sell Cubacel tourist SIM cards to use in Cuba. Price is $35. They say you can pick up the SIM card upon arrival at the airport or in ETECSA store in the city (Cuban Telco).

So I came to Havana. I arrived late at night, and the airport point was already closed, and I couldn't pick up the SIM at the airport. Okay, let's pick it up in the Havana city, I thought.

The problem is, when I came to the city and asked at the central ETECSA store near the Capitolio to pick up the SIM, they didn't have my email. Nor did they know about suenacuba.

The funniest thing was, that I bought a Cubacel tourist SIM with 3.5Gb data pack at the same ETECSA store FOR $8 (1150 CUP)!

THE TOURIST SIM COSTS $8 IN ETECSA STORE VERSUS $35 ON SUENACUBA WEBSITE!

I asked the website for refund, but of course they didn't reply.

Sucks to be me.

If you want a Cubacel SIM, go to an ETECSA store upon arrival to Cuba. It will save you tens of dollars.

Good people running an honest business!

Very happy to leave a positive review for SuenaCube! Whilst travelling to Cuba, I pre-ordered a SIM, but then following the theft of my passport I was unable to visit. SuenaCube was happy (and very prompt) in issuing a full refund, which I thought was very decent of them. I'll certainly use their services again when my holiday in Cuba finally happens!

no cards and no internet

There were no cards in the airport when we arrived.
And the internet service was unavailable during a couple of days. So out of 10 days I was in Cuba I could only use the card for 7 of them.
Nevertheless, Suenacuba provided an excellent service, it appears than the problem is in cuba with etecsa mobile company.

Doesn't work

I guess the idea is good but implement doesn't work:
I bought a simcard 2 days before the flight to Cuba, upon arrival I went to the office in the airport to pick up the simcard, no simcard there for me. Also the rather unfriendly lady needed an hour before she told me my sim was somehow not there.
So I went to a Etecsa office in Havana, waited one hour before someone attended me. Than it took another 3hours and a lot of goodwill to get my simcard. My girlfriend got a regular Cuban simcard at the same office in 15 min while waiting for me.
Than you can not recharge this simcard at Etecsa offices like regular simcard.
Honestly, Suena Cuba is expensive, badly managed and useless. Just go to an Etecsa office and get a regular simcard to save money and nerves.
