I have just bought my fourth car from Harry at Suffolk car centre in Reydon and i couldn't be more pleased. They listened to my requirements and delivered exactly what i wanted. I give them 5* for service and after sales. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I visited suffolk car centre to replace…

I visited suffolk car centre to replace my old car for a larger estate with cheap tax as my impending retirement present .is as a Volvo v50 in reasonable cosmetic condition took it for a test drive and not knowing anything about e fines or general vehicle maintenance I was guided by Billy and Chris as I'm no mechanic and I like to think you can trust the rely on their honesty of the vehicles they sell, in the first four and a half months this vehicle broke down 3 times with an ignition problem at first illketshall where I bought car seemed interested in helping I returned car they gave me a courtesy car all be it a dented scratched and dirty inside borderline filthy it was a car after 4 to 5 days phoned illketshall and was told all they had done was stand the car at their premises and started it regularly so I said I could have done that I thought car had gone in for investigations so took the car away and was told phone again if it happened again ,it happened again so I returned car once again to illketshall was once again given the same dented scratched and dirty Renault courtesy car this time they took it to a garage and after a time I picked up the Volvo being told they had done over 400 pounds worth of repairs and they hoped it had sorted the problem, it had not after some more time but still within the six months warranty it broke down again ,so I sent a letter asking either for a full refund or an exchange for a similar vehicle of the same value this was decline as they said they had done over 400 pounds worth of work and provided me with a courtesy car at this point all I kept hearing was take it to a garage I said I would like it to go to Volvo as they had the car back twice and failed to resolve the initial problem even though they had spent 400 pounds on fixing other problems the initial fault still exists .so now I have a car still with the ignition problem still exists and have been told by the warranty company if the problem does not happen again before November 1 2025 then problem will not be covered after all this I fear I am going to be left with a vehicle which I purchased less than six months ago and I potentionally could end up with an expensive repair cost as I will have to use a Volvo dealership as the garage this company used have done 400 pounds worth of work and still not cured problem. I have lost all faith in Chris at illketshall doing anything to help as the last time I spoke to him he had failed to return my call on the progress of the repairs to the car as I had booked a ferry too visit a very ill relative in Ireland , he said he would phone before 1700 but he never did when I phoned him he seemed to wonder why I was upset and proceeded to tell me he did not need this stress and would phone me in morning I never received a call I had to phone them and that's when I just got excuses not solutions so in short issue is ongoing warranty is running out and all I hear is excuses not solutions I wish I had never used this company certainly won't be using them again after this experience that's my opinion anyway 1 star is to high

Bought Great customer after sales? I don't think so!a Ford Kuga from the Ilketshall…

EDIT
Harry who runs the Reydon branch and one of the co owners of this company went above and beyond to restore the reputation of his company after my previous review. He took my car in, repaired it more than thoroughly, and loaned me a car of good quality to use while mine was being fixed. I have no problems in recommending Harry, he is a professional who cares about sorting out problems which arise.

Bought a Ford Kuga from the Ilketshall branch back in August, they were polite, helpful and friendly during the sale of the car. Fast forward 3 months to when the heavy rains started. My car filled up with water badly. Rang and it was suggested I pay a local garage to diagnose the leaks before they would even consider repairing the problems. After a heated discussion with Chris he begrudgingly agreed to take the car in, dry it out and do a water test. I myself have ms, am awaiting a hip replacement, have a chronic back issue and a serious lung disease, my husband has both cancer and sarcoidosis, we literally spend at least 3 days a week every week up the hospital, and need a car, so they provided us with a loan car, it was mot'd 2 days before we collected it. The loan car had more faults than a politician, faulty seat belts, so the alarm went off continuously, the front windows went down but didnt want to close etc, pretty sure these things are part of an mot? perhaps Im wrong! My car was so wet it took them 4 1/2 days just to dry it out, I tried to be helpful, provided them with plenty of photos of the leak up front, and a video of the leak we located in the boot. After 2 weeks, with very poor communication from the company when I asked for updates on the progress, with calls not being returned, I was told it was fixed and ready to collect. The seal between the panoramic roof and windscreen had failed completely, and they told me the boot was fine, the water ingress in there was from the windscreen fault, so I went and collected my car. It rained all day and all night, checked the car for leaks when it finally stopped raining the next day. Yes the windscreen fault has been cured, but the boot is already soaking wet. I rang Harry at the Lowestoft branch, asking him to fix my car as Chris at Ilketshall clearly decided half measures were good enough. I was told he would ring me back. Waited until 4.30, no phone call, so I rang again, and was told quite bluntly that as far as they're concerned, I should be grateful for what they did do, and their comprehensice warranty they provide doesnt cover water ingress, only mechanical faults. I only bought my Kuga from them because of the reviews all saying how wonderful they are, clearly they're only wonderful as long as their profit margin isnt eaten into, and at the end of the day, buying a £7000 car from them doesnt mean youre getting anything decent. So now I have to get my car booked in somewhere else, to be dried out again and repaired and no doubt get taxis too and from the hospital while its being fixed. Thanks guys, blinding service!
