We bought a kettle and toaster combination trusting the brand only to have the Toaster fail 18months after purchase. Very disappointed. May as well go back to cheap Big W brands

I would never buy one of these again…

I would never buy one of these again and I'm planning on returning it the reason being I followed the instructions down to the end it tells you to put two scoops of coffee per cup which I did but that feels the entire basket then it overflows with coffee and only fills the pot to six cups at which point I then had to add extra water but of course it weakened the coffee I had a similar situation with a different brand I simply have to change thoughts on what coffee machine is best but this is certainly not it I rang and told the company the lady was really nice but she explained that it is to scoops per cup and that's what's required but they are clearly wrong and it has made a terrible mess all over my bench and Wasted very expensive coffee I would love to add a video because I took one but I don't think I can maybe I'll try to provide a photo but I don't think it will so don't do it guys...... UPDATE..... USE MEDIUM GRAIN COFFEE NOT FINE PUT A LITTLE LESS IN

Sunbeam DiamondForce Wok WWM7000DF

Sunbeam DiamondForce Wok WWM7000DF

Don't risk it.... I've had this wok for just over two years. Use it about once a fortnight or so, suddenly noticed the heating element starting to show in the cooking area. (see photo) Emailed Sunbeam and was told that, although is was a manufacturing fault, they could not help me because the wok was out of warranty. Very poor service if you ask me. I purchased this because of the great reviews and people using it for years. I believe the item should have lasted longer than a paltry 2 years. I therefore DO NOT recommend this wok. Purchase something different instead - I will....

Sunbeam’s Flawed Design, Lack of Repair Support, and Environmental Irresponsibility – A Toaster Built to Fail by Design

I purchased a Sunbeam toaster (Model TAM1003SS) in August 2023. After just over a year of very light household use, the push-down handle snapped internally, making the toaster completely unusable, even though it still looked virtually brand new.

I wasn’t asking for a free replacement, but I did expect some level of support for a product that had barely aged. What I encountered instead was appalling:

• No spare parts available: not just for this model, but for any Sunbeam toaster, according to both the company and their authorised parts supplier.
• No repair options:despite the fact that the failure was caused by a single, easily replaceable plastic bracket.
• Shockingly poor product design: the only component that experiences regular wear (the push-down handle mechanism) was made from cheap, thin plastic. It was virtually guaranteed to fail well before the end of what should be the expected lifespan of a toaster.

Even more concerning, Sunbeam admitted their design team is aware of this fault, and yet they are doing nothing to redesign or improve it. They knowingly continue to manufacture and sell a product with a structural weakness that cannot be repaired, a textbook case of planned obsolescence.
This fault could have been easily avoided. The bracket could have been designed to be replaceable, or made from a durable material like metal. But instead, the appliance has been engineered in a way that ensures it will be discarded after a minor failure, a decision that is both irresponsible and unsustainable.

Under Australian Consumer Law, products must be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose. A toaster that fails after minimal use and cannot be repaired clearly doesn’t meet that standard, regardless of the manufacturer’s expired 12-month warranty.

Sunbeam’s approach reflects a complete disregard for product longevity, customer support, and environmental impact. This is not just bad customer service, it’s irresponsible product development in a time when sustainability and repairability should be a priority.

I strongly caution others against buying Sunbeam products. If you care about durability, repairability, environmental responsibility, or simply getting value for your money, look elsewhere. Once a Sunbeam product fails, you’ll find no help and no accountability.

EM5000 Cafe Barista

This is the second EM5000 Cafe Barista, the first one failing after 18 months. The cleaning cycle no longer functioned and the milk dispenser started dribbling We followed all the recommended cleaning procedures including descaling as recommended. Thinking we were unlucky with the first I decided to try again and bought another one exactly the same functions failed but closer to two years. So my recommendation is to avoid this chinese manufactured garbage and buy another brand.

SUNBEAM COMPACT BARISTA COFFEE MACHINE

In May 2024 I purchased a Sunbeam Compact Barista coffee machine through Catch. By November 2024 I had a problem with it because the water container began to leak and I had water all over my bench top. I contacted Sunbeam, sent through all of the photo’s and video they requested and ultimately they replaced the machine, once I’d sent photo’s of me cutting the cord and it disabled. The Customer Service was good. Then in April 2025 I went to make coffee and the machine stopped working and flashed that it needed descaling, which I did. I only ever use filtered water in it and I always clean the machine after each use. Tried again to make coffee. Same thing, cleaned again, same again. It didn’t matter how much I tried it wouldn’t pass the descaling stage. Back to Sunbeam with photo’s and video. They sent back an email, ‘try this, do that’ which I did but to no avail. Back to them again and more photo’s and video and again, cut the cord, disable the machine and send photo’s and a video and we’ll replace it. I requested a refund instead, no can do because I bought it through Catch and they’ve have gone out of business. The couple of days after receiving the new machine it was producing coffee but no crema, flushed it several times and it seemed okay until today May 22nd when again I went to make coffee then heat the milk and the bar pump wouldn’t work. It kept spitting out water then stopped halfway through. I re-primed it and it started again but I ended up with a watery cup of coffee. The group handles which came with the 2nd and 3rd machines fill with water too and leak everywhere if I don’t remember to drain them properly. I have wasted so much time and expensive coffee with these machines I’m done. I won’t even bother going back to Sunbeam because the machines are useless. Three in 12 months is ridiculous. Looks like this machine - version 3 - will be bin fodder and I’ll be buying another brand. NOT at all happy!

Piss poor Customer Service. They don't care at all

I have a sunbeam coffee machine which is a year and few months old. It's been malfunctioning for the past couple of months.
Contacted sunbeam and followed their advice on descalling it. Spend about $50 buying all the items for it and it didn't fix the issue.
Spend $90 getting it checked out by a technician. A month later they came back to with a quote almost the price of a new machine.
I took it to my sparky to get it fixed, ordered a part and have been waiting for sunbeam to restock the part for about 10 weeks now.
There are no updates from Sunbeam or support.
Never buying another Sunbeam machine again.
Piss poor customer service.

Easy cleaning after a paper towel wipe

A good buy. The one drawer air fryer nicely cooks pies, croissants, hamburger buns etc. It also freshens stale products and grills nicely. I didn't like the fish, nor chips after cooking. The plus and minus buttons are hard to push. It’s very easy to clean.

Do not trust Sunbeam products- no accountability & worst customer service

I have been a loyal Sunbeam customer for years, but after my recent experience, I will never buy from them again. Their customer service is absolutely disgraceful. When my product failed well within what should be a reasonable lifespan, I reached out expecting some level of support. Instead, I was met with dismissive, unhelpful responses and a complete lack of accountability.

Sunbeam clearly does not stand by their products or care about customer loyalty. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. They make it nearly impossible to get a fair resolution, and their so-called warranty support is a joke. It’s clear they are more interested in profit than in maintaining any sort of quality or integrity.
If you’re considering buying a Sunbeam product, DON’T. There are far better brands out there that actually value their customers and stand behind what they sell.

My lovely orange kettle with its matching toaster is less than 2 years old, out of warranty- 1 year only (which tells you something) and is now leaking. The company asked me for all sorts of things - videos and images- before telling me it could do nothing and would take no responsibility for its contribution to landfill. This was an expensive item. Don't bother.

The moment you enter

The moment you enter, you’re greeted by the soothing aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods. The ambiance is ideal for productivity, with a mix of quiet nooks and communal tables that allow for collaboration or solitude, depending on your mood.

I’ve tried a variety of their drinks, but I keep coming back to their matcha latte. It’s the perfect balance of earthy and creamy, and it gives me just the right amount of energy to power through my tasks. Paired with a slice of their homemade banana bread, it’s my little slice of heaven during long work sessions.

The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, which is a must for me, and the staff is always accommodating, ensuring I have everything I need without being overly intrusive. They even have power outlets at each table, which is a huge plus!

If you’re looking for a place to work while indulging in great coffee, look no further!

Do not buy from Sunbeam NZ

Do not buy from Sunbeam NZ. We have a problem with a kettle and the only customer service is in Poland. The lady has been so unhelpful and just keeps repeating a line, over and over to me. She will not let me speak with a supervisor and will not have a supervisor call me. This is disgusting from a company like sunbeam. I will never purchase from them again 😩🤬

Absolutely no support

Bought a very expensive Sunbeam coffee maker, which a) Husband always hated and b) they no longer make (obviously due to crapola issues). It went insane after the warranty ran out - and support basically shrugged shoulders and said, in effect "oh well, go get it repaired somewhere, not our problem". It's now residing in landfill, and we are very happy with our new Breville.

Sunbeam Cafe Barista EM5000

Sunbeam Cafe Barista EM5000
This semi automatic coffee maker is incredibly great value.
It froths milk as well perfectly hands free.
It doesn't grins the beans so I just buy quality ground coffee.
It's just hot enough however sometimes I reheat for 30secs in microwave.
It's easy to use, large water container.
Putting coffee handle on needs a few practices
It cost under $200 and makes just as good coffee as my ex partners $2000 fully auto Delongi.
Easy clean, don't put coffee handle in dishwasher but rinses easily. Milk container can go in dishwasher.
Well done Sunbeam
I thoroughly recommend this machine.

I bought a Sunbeam Maestro Kettle Quiet Shield which I chose because I wanted something quiet but it was noiser than my previous kettle. I paid more for the Sunbeam brand thinking it was reliable, but after a few months the top kept sticking. I threw it away in disgust and will never buy a Sunbeam product again.

Sunbeam = poorly made JUNK

Never buying Sunbeam appliances again. Complete rubbish made in Chinese factories needs to carry a warning label like tobacco does!!! 1] Bought a $500 coffee maker and the pump was faulty - waited 2 months for a refund. 2] Bought a electric frypan for 3 x the KMart price - fancy coating wore off and the base plate warped - a KMart one would have lasted 3 times as long at a 1/3 the price. RUBBISH

Don't buy Sunbeam

We bought a Sunbeam toaster in July last year - a year and 5 month ago and it's already broken beyond repair. 12 months warranty period. A waste of money and resources.
